Yep, the staff there been really helpful since I just started gunpla. But can't always go cos been there 4 times I think, came out the shop with a few new kits every damn time haha. Still have some backlog to clear. Gonna head over again this weekend, definitely gonna get the sazabi, just ain't sure I want the mg or rg
Sazabi is a very big and challenging build for MG, so for a beginner i would recommend you to try smaller MG kits. At least, if you make mistake, it wont be a costly one lol
on a separate note, below is the gundam base limited RG lighting edition available for sale for a very limited time by bandai for Malaysia. Don't think this will be available next year.
How solid are those inner frame? So far, I only have RG and I feel the inner frame is soft. I want to try MG, but not sure if the inner frame is the same as RG.
MG Inner frame is stronger

Yeah I've definitely read about it too, I remember the dude said the crack may happen if you put too much of the panel accent liner on the surface, as it causes the plastic to become brittle. So far I've never experienced it myself, so I guess you don't really need to worry about that. Just apply the liner moderately.
Bandai plastic nowadays are quite good , never have i had issues with parts cracking due to using tamiya panel line accent.
I've been eyeing up Barbatos as my second try at GunPla (first one was a HG RedComet - nothing special done) my friend suggested I take on the MG Barbatos, but then googling around says some of the Barbatos models are subpar? (also, i swear there was price increase before this. i thought all HGs were like 50-60, suddenly all 100++)
Does anyone have experience with any of the Barbatos? Or any recommendation for fun builds? Not looking for a "main character" type gundam, just something cool looking
1 - MG Barbatos is quite a solid kit. If you want cool looking kit, this is hard to recommend as looks are subjective 2 - Yes, prices have increased for HG kits because of better parts separations and quality + our weakening RM currency
I dunno which variant you're referring to, but I'm working on a FM 1/100 Barbatos Lupus Rex atm and all I can say it is good. I have the MG Barbatos 4th form and heard a lot of praises but I didn't build it yet.
Here is my current WIP on Barbatos Lupus Rex. Still a lot to touch up

I guess he means how solid for playing/posing ?
anyways, i heard MY will also have shortage for the PG unleashed .... so for those that pre-ordered, good for you!
Or you can save up for the possible PG Unleased Casval variant, haha.
I think at this point, we can confirm these variants 1) Casval 2 ) G3 3) Mechanical Clear 4) Titanium Finish
Clear Colour body option parts already confirmed so im not listing it.

Ok. Boight a MG Barbatos plus some clippers because I used like.. rusted dull ones before. We'll see how it goes.
I found a vid that basically took a look at the diff Barbatos models. They mentioned that some of the HG barbatos variants got flimsy joints or not balanced properly. Ah well. Hope the MG one is good
Sifus, regarding panel lining, can you use a marker from like Popular? I forgot to order one, but i saw online you can use mechanical pencils? Or even markers that are not for panel lining? Do you panel line before or after assembly?
pencil line will be too soft to even see. Suggest you get a proper gunpla marker ( 0.2mm) or just buy the tamiya accent panel line paint.
I saw Popular gt some markers at 0.1 size. Do those work? Does the usual stationary knife work for cutting nubs? Do you panel line before or after assembly?
1. Please use proper hobby marker pen 2. Panel line after assembly 3. I don't recommend stationery knife but you can use them
Hi Everyone, been a while since I visited this forum. Looking to restart my Gunpla collection again. Any good sites/shops to recommend? I'm particularly fond of MGs
I guess it depends on where you live... if you are in kL, I would recommend going to the hobby store
For GundamBase kit, I think you can try your luck for Zaku kit on Litt Tak. Lazada online store (where they sell Gundambase limited kit), as I believe they will able to get some stock to here.
Thank you boss!! i don't know why buy i've been buying more antagonist MS like zakus lately lol....
I take it you are referring to the shops in the old Berjaya Timesquare second floor. IT Toys moved to Jalan Klang Lama, Time Machine I heard changed name and moved somewhere else too.
There is a small hobby shop, CKTan in Brem Mall Kepong selling variety of model kit accessories and supplies.
Yeah, I was at CKtan shop few days back, bought a fujimi car model kit. The shop was having 20% sales for almost everything, quite a lot of customers.
IT Toys moved to Old Klang Road, I wanna visit their new premise soon also.
Time Machine still has one shop in PG Queensbay mall if I'm not mistaken.
Currently there is only 1 model kit store remain in PG Queensbay, but the shop name is Robot Master, not time machine. Used to have another store together with it, but closed down long ago (can't recall the name).
