Well it is happy ending in a way. But a lot of manga purist now seething with anger at Madhouse for un-manga ending.

Raki and Jeanne managed to pull Claire back at cost of Jeanne's life. Prisillia got the same fear she has but rescued by Raki. Then a very long speech by Raki and Jeanne to awaken Awakened Claire from her lust for revenge.

In the end, Claire and Raki walking off somewhere to hide from Organization while her comrades will do the same thing. Last scene is Theresa ghostly form smiled at Claire's decision to live on a "normal" life, Claire got her catharsis and walks off with her lover and companion, Raki.
Easley/Isley rescued defeated Priscillia and he said that he hopes to meet Raki again someday in future.

Galatea reported some deception to Rubel, closing off the case in a way to enable Claire to run away.

The end.

DVDs is coming into my shelf soon! Wohoo!

The ending screams of a season 2!

Think about it...number 1&2 not revealed yet...no further mention about the organization...etc.

possible to hv season 2?

they change a lot of plot...in manga, raki still training under easley...divert too much larr...possible?
i guess, no 1 n 2 will remain mystery if u guys only watch the anime...huehue...

I believed Madhouse is doing half ending/half open type. They did it b4 for Gunslinger Girl and now Gunslinger Girl Season 2 is coming next year so I would suspect that Claymore Season 2 might come in 3-5 years time from now. Gunslinger Girl took a hiatus of 3 years since it was released to let the manga progress so more materials can be animated.

In a way I am glad Madhouse did some sort of closure and leave a tantalizing opening for 2nd season possibility, when there is enough manga material, they might consider to do Season 2.

damn need to wait for season 2

Well, in manga, Raki is now travelling with Priscillia, developing a more convincing bond compared to anime version. We just have to wait and see how the mangaka penned the rest of the story.

Who cares if you like the manga or the anime...If you like to read go manga if you like to watch go anime, easy. FMA also has different scenes in story telling. 'nuff said.

on a second note, i'm seeing light of hopes for a 2nd season, and i pray that this time it'll at least be worthy of a sequel.

This ending was pretty much ok to me until Raki decides to butt in and ... damn potong stim.

He sure is annoying even though it's the last episode.
