Under contract based is not locked but they can locked based on IMEI if you dont pay according to your contract.. I dont know whether they still can use this method but before this telco always have a way to lock your IMEI so the phone is unusable.

Yea.. due to phone bought from them they sure key in all the details, even its unlocked they can bar the phone if the current card user dont pay the bills.

Any recommendation for case based on your long term use?

Also, stick with stock and don't update or push through all available update? In case certain updates cause battery drain, poorer camera functions etc

my long term experience with mate 9 pro, overran on the years usage as I love it so much is that after dropped few times the camera became blur

so thought it'd be a good idea to invest in a decent case for long term heavy use

sure many Sifus here have plenty experience with cases

If not mistaken you check few posts before someone did mentioned some case..

I read till page 1x then realised the dates so posted one for a most recent check

reckon it's long term enough for most here

Do you think P30 price at 1750 is worth buying now? Or wait for P40?

One is almost one year old phone, not sure its spec can last 2 more years or not if buy now, while p40 is new but no google (not sure can sideload successful without issue or not). Or will P40 launched bring down P30 price?

its going to be in the future and how to answer i also not sure but definitely prices for the p30 series will be lower to let way for the p40 to be at the flagship price.

Phone nowadays are way more powerful than its suppose to be and i think if you can wait why not? if not you buy now p30 also nth to lose.. stil get a play store..

google play is the concern here. no one can predict if p30 still exist.
P30 can get 2 year warranty. Have that thought last 2 month ago. But i decided to buy P30. now happy users and dont bother p40

I would wait for P40 if i were you.

If you need a phone now just get it now, if your current phone can last till the P40 release then wait for the P40, every generation of a new phone is of coz better specs maybe bigger ram, faster processor etc etc.

5G is your aim? then wait for P40. Anyway P30 or P30 pro with google is still the primary choice...
