Beware everyone!!!

Received many of the following SMS last night and today (Sunday, 21/07/2019), which I have nothing to do with:

TQ for using your <credit card name> ending <xxxx> for MYRXXX.XX AT ITUNES.COM/BILL \\; <date>. For enq call num at back of your card

This follows by a call (on Sunday, 21/07/2019) from an actual person claiming to be a staff of the bank that issued the credit card, who want to help me with these suspicious transactions.

Fact:
- these messages are coming from the usual route i.e. it is the same number for my usual valid transaction, so this involving professional scam groups!
- they called from 03 - 2772 7500, very suspicious number!

Action:
- checked my credit card account online and found no record of such transactions
- refused getting help from the call; never give out any sort of your personal information

Further action:
- monitor my credit card account and will update this topic with my finding

Fact:
- out of those 4 messages I received, I now (Monday, 22/07/2019) see one of them made it into my credit card account transaction i.e. it has charged me for it
- and my credit card no longer works
- went to my bank to report this case, and they told me:
1. this is a known issue, and they have a process in place to tackle this i.e.
a. check with customer whether the itunes transaction is genuine
b. if not, cancel the card and reissue a new card
c. and refund
2. so the person who called me on Sunday was indeed from the bank i.e. called from 03 - 2772 7500; I was too precautious, where the person has blocked my credit card and let me contact the bank to sort it out

Action:
- waiting for my new credit card
- once I have the statement showing the itunes transaction, I will have to go to the bank to proceed with the refund

Anything that require sensitive information, I will say I will call back myself.
So you call back using your contact number. This will eliminate any cheating pretending to be authorize customer center.

Those that call you MUST have all your information in their system. No reason for them to ask anything from you.

There was once I call a telco customer hotline. You know what?
He asked what is my login password.
I straight told him " you customer service, you tak tau ke?"
