my car steering wheel vibrates when the car is going at 100++ kmh, i asked around and was told to do high speed balancing but after searching around, many ppl said that it can damage the gearbox, especially on auto cars so i want to ask is it really going to damage the gearbox? are there any good on wheel balancing shops can recommend? |

The logic is, if the transmission at neutral then the wheels are free play hence should be no issues.but after searching around, many ppl said that it can damage the gearbox, especially on auto cars so i want to ask is it really going to damage the gearbox? are there any good on wheel balancing shops can recommend? I often do on wheel balancing at King of Rims, Shah Alam. But mine is Rwd car and I only do this balancing for front so surely no issues. ☺️ |

If your car currently has no vibration issue at high speeds then no need to do this. People who do this usually like to speed over 150kph so need more precise balancing because sometimes normal balancing may still have a little vibration at high speeds. All of my car just do normal balancing. Never know got high speed balancing. Lol. |
