QUOTE(rooney723 @ Jul 20 2019, 09:03 PM) my car steering wheel vibrates when the car is going at 100++ kmh, i asked around and was told to do high speed balancing but after searching around, many ppl said that it can damage the gearbox, especially on auto cars so i want to ask is it really going to damage the gearbox? are there any good on wheel balancing shops can recommend? First time hear that. The logic is, if the transmission at neutral then the wheels are free play hence should be no issues. I often do on wheel balancing at King of Rims, Shah Alam. But mine is Rwd car and I only do this balancing for front so surely no issues. ☺️

QUOTE(rooney723 @ Jul 20 2019, 10:14 PM) https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2240033/all, this thread many years ago got mention it can damage gearbox the transmision is in neutral? they got the machine to spin the wheels up to 100++ kmh? i thought they will step the pedal and make it run to 100++ kmh? how is on wheel balancing being done actually? they jack up the whole car and there is a balancing machine to spin the wheels on car? Jack up the car at the front then the machine spins the wheels.

QUOTE(DS51 @ Jul 21 2019, 11:02 PM) Never know got on wheel balancing..never done b4. If my car, accord do this, it will become smoother 🤔🤔?. All of my car just do normal balancing. Never know got high speed balancing. Lol. If your car currently has no vibration issue at high speeds then no need to do this. People who do this usually like to speed over 150kph so need more precise balancing because sometimes normal balancing may still have a little vibration at high speeds.
