i suggest playing a right handed guitar because it is easier to find and cheaper too. after all, when you start learning, you don't know how to play at all and you don't have any knowledge on either hands on the guitar so learning from scratch would be ok. and its also a bit of an advantage that your left hand is strong, kinda like how a lefty playing drums has an advantage when playing double pedals because his 2nd pedal is already very strong. or you could go the hendrix way, get a right handed guitar and flip it over

i think playing a righthanded guitar if you're left handed is more advantageous, same for drums because your less-dominant hand will have to do a lot of training compared to your dominant hand(or foot) so in the end you are actually stronger in both hands or feet

QUOTE(LovesReborn @ Jul 14 2007, 07:44 AM) i once taught a lefty to play guitar...he insisted on using his left hand to do the strumming, so what i did was fixing the strings upside down... i've met a lot of lefty playing righty...i dont think it is a problem, whether you are playing righty or lefty as long as you can play... just have fun playing music is the point of learning music~IMO... a la hendrix
