Hi, does anyone of you bought wiper from ACE Hardware?

Does ACE Hardware carry PIAA, Dura Edge and Bosch AeroTwin?
Is it original when bought in ACE Hardware. Don't wanna get conned from buying fake products at a higher price.
Planning to go to ACE Hardware tomorrow in Penang.
I bought new wiper from MR DIY. Started juddering after 1 week of usage. Judders only when it's wet. No problem when dry.

Thanks.

ACE does sell Bosch wipers but not sure of the other 2 brands you mentioned, probably not.

I have used wipers from DIY and they're decent, lasted about over a year for me without juddering. On the other hand, 2 Bosch wipers I recently bought immediately got judders! Bosch Facebook sales then arranged replacement under warranty for me but still initially still got some judders. Luckily now not anymore strangely.

Hi, will buy if ACE Hardware doesn't have the product that I wanted.

Which wiper that you're currently using?
I drive Perodua only LOL.
Yours when did it happen? After fix or after a few days?
Mine after fix still OK until 1 week later the problem started.

I tried to clean with glass cleaner still no difference.

Thanks.

EDIT: I tried switching my Kenari 20 inch wiper to Alza driver side, no juddering smooth when wet. I suspected it's the blade problem already.
I liked the Hybrid Wiper Blade design. The passenger side no judder, only driver side which is very annoying, cannot focus on the road while driving.
Will survey out got which brand/type of wipers tomorrow in ACE.

Thanks.

Hmm.. I should try switching also to test. If it judder on one direction and smooth on the other, usually its the wiper arm angle. I check my wiper arm and linkage but no obvious play. (Car 12 years old) The way I check linkage is to lift arm away from windshield and run the wipers to see if it still smooth. I am using NWB but it is made in malaysia one. If u were to get nwb, get the hybrid version as that is made in japan and not the traditional frame. Any u hook wiper arm will fit nwb as it is oem for japanese car.

Hi, will research about NWB Wipers. Let's see the ACE Hardware got or not.

Wanna get PIAA but rarely use highways. Bosch Aerotwin is an alternative to PIAA. Not sure whether Bosch Aerotwin is using silicone or not.

I fix both cars ( Alza and Kenari ) with Mr DIY Silicone Coating Wipers. Only Alza got problems while Kenari have problem on wiping high speed. Unable to wipe faster on speed 3. No juddering on Kenari. I exchange the passenger side no problem, I wanna try out and see it is the wiper or the windscreen dirty. Might need to get an expensive ones for safety purpose. Yesterday afternoon got rain while on the way home. My eyes hurt when seeing the wiper shaking.

Thanks.

Yup wipere judder is very annoyed thing while driving usually I bought at lazada , glaco wiper or piaa wiper I believe is a silicone type or mix ,

My experience I use glaco windshield remover then apply glaco water repellent on windshield wiper stick withl rubber type judder again then remove again no judder but hard to see during heavy rain

Then I change to piaa wiper with no water reple on windshield 3 minutes wiper use and keep spray water on windshield now better results I guess the the silicone from wiper stick to windshield

Then I go apply glaco water repellent on windshield after 15 minutes using micro fiber tower wipe until residue no longer but when I use wiper so much judder than before so I just leave it until next day no more judder I believe maybe due to the water repellent not fully dry or stick to windshield yet so when immediately use wiper so judder

Now already know the tactics with no issue windshield will apply every 6 month glaco water repellent , side and rear only apply once and never apply for the last 2 year , maybe there are no friction from wiper or direct contact From dirt so can last very long

And actually there are wax from soft99 for body which can last one year reasonable price which cheaper than coating a lot haha at least get the job done

WTF...

Thanks for sharing mate... I thought it is only my problem. Turns out its MRDIY problem. Never in my life I had juddering wiper when its wet. They are usually like that when its dry. Even in heavy rain, it is still juddering. Totally frustrated.

Are yours those RM15 single piece with silicone coating?

Using mrDIY wipers for years.. satisfied with them.

wiper gets oily from citybus? change

no choice but to park near CKY stall? change

But due to I am still using years old mrDIY wiper...they may have changed suppliers, thus performance varies.

When you are troubleshooting haha, but I always wait windshield full of water for the first wipe. If not like sandpaper. But no use also now because previously using for 10 over years (not by me) and windshield has many fine scratches

Yes, RM 15 for a single pack with silicone. It is GMQC now, before it was MR DIY.
The one with black and yellow packaging. Yours also judder like mine. Reach to the end can see the juddering.

Which model did you use? GAP or MR DIY?
I think so. I think yours is an old batch.

I think bought before from Mr Diy 6 months back. The GAP one. Did not notice any issue but I know it's not perfect. Sometimes have sound but not so bad until it irritates. I will mostly go for silicone type. However, I have read that some people say silicone is not good as it will scratch your car's windscreen.

For me, the judder is because of the dirty wiper (dirt). Normally I just clean it when I refuel my car.

I barely wash my car and never really wipe the wiper blades. So far no problem with my windscreen. Probably I am just ignorant about it cause if you don't look for the scratch, there are no scratch. bangwall.gif

Hi, I have changed new wiper. Bought from car accessories shop.

My Alza Windscreen suppose to be dirty cause didn't send the car to car wash for almost 1 year already.

Thanks.
