Read it at Reddit that latest Android11 update is still very buggy (1st one bricking device, 2nd one buggy here/there).

My unit didn’t get Android11 update, but Dec security update on Android10 instead. This version is working pretty normal. I will probably wait 1-2 months more before update to Android11.

I’m on EU ROM, still 12.0.3 (the one with Dec security) and it indeed is kind of laggy as reported.

Those in global (12.0.4) reported better mileage.

Hopefully it will come soon for mine.

I mean official xiaomi EU ROM.

Mia3 have 2 ROM variants, one is global, another is EU.

EU one tend to launch and updated slower than global, but normally nothing too majorly different from the global sibling.

Anyone can advise on which Mi Phone can be easily re-flashed with Stock Android or Android One? Preferably around RM600.

Been using a Mi A2 Lite for about two and a half years now, and will be looking for the next Stock Android phone. Seems like the only choices are Google Pixel or Nokia, and both are pretty expensive.

Something like this?

Mix2s is a decent option, as it has same camera sensor to Pixel4A, thus a GCAM port gonna be very potent.

64GB one can generally go around RM600+/-.

Apart from the 2 main cons of short battery life and small (by 2021 standard) non-expendable storage, this device is as potent as 2020’s midrange (one plus nord cost 3x its price and didn’t offer much extra apart from AMOLED and 5G...).

Since it’s 2+ years old already, Xiaomi probably had stopped official updates for it. But that will mean more fun for 3rd party ROM if you like tinkering.
