Recently I hv installed a Xiaomi Mijia Smart Door Lock. The installation seems perfect (I guess). My Mijia app can recognise the smart door lock, so I guess the pairing was done successfully. However, I have a few issues with the smart door lock.

1) When my door is closed, my Mijia app showed that my door is not closed. Hence, I guess it is not in a locked mode.
2) When I pull up the handle, the anti-theft latch will in lock position. But I can unlock it without using key/fingerprint/passcode... When I pull down the handle, it the anti-theft latch unlocked immediately.

I'm wondering if anyone know how to solve this problem? Thank you.

1) When i pull up the handle, the 3 anti-theft latches come out from the lock body. But on the app, it is stated door not close.

2) i can open from both side. From outside, no need password/key/fingerprint/passcode... just need to pull down the handle. From inside, there is a button on the handle, which according to the user manual, I need to press on it while pull down the handle to open the door. But now, i can open the door without pressing the button.

Seems like the door never detect that it close before. Try check if the strike plate is properly engaged. Some say the top and bottom 3 point lock hinge need to be saw off too.

Edit: strike plate might not be aligned properly where your latch bolt stuck and not latch properly.

Ya... on the Mijia app, it shows door not close. There is this latch (second one from the top) that serves to detect whether the door is closed or not. I did tried to push it down with my finger and then pull the handle up... to mimic that the door is closed. When I do that, the Mijia app showed that the door is locked. But unfortunately, I can still open the door without passcode/fingerprint/key.

Since the door can be close and the anti-theft latch can come out from the lock body and fit nicely to the strike plate, I guess the strike plate is aligned properly. Maybe I'm wrong...

Sorry, but I don't understand the part u said that need to be saw off. Can u show me using photo? Thank you very much for the help... Really appreciate it.

they call it "tian-di-gou" or the 3 point lock hook which is designed for china market metal door in mind.
if we using wooden solid door, this hook need to be sawed off. Or else the door cant be locked with the 3 bolt lock (activated by swinging the handle up).

if your door can be locked with the 3-bolt, then nvm bah.

I'm using wooden door (to be specific, fire door). The installer I paid to install the lock helped me to create extra space when he fixed the body lock. Hence the 3-point lock hook can be extended when in lock position.

The door can be "lock"... but the problems I'm facing are:
1) the Mijia app shows "door not close" even when I managed to lock the door (swinging the handle up).
2) I can unlock my door without using the key/passcode/fingerprint...

Ya... I'm aware about this spindle. I think I put it correctly as I follow the instruction based on another Xiaomi smart door lock (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPvoQN51_5I&t=451s). There is a clip-like-structure on one side of the spindle. Based on the video, the pin-like-structure should be on the inside facing upwards, right? I insert it from outside.

This is the photo from inside when I lock it manually. You can see that all the latches are in the correct position. However, in this condition, Mijia app still saying that my door is not close.

Very weird, right?

I suggest you double check the installation again.
The strike plate is ok.

Actually the outside door handle not suppose to move the latch at all until the door is unlocked with fingerprint or pin.
