if they fully goes to off the shelf equipment for next procurement without middle man then its will done good to our army...but would they tho... they are businessman on top and some donate money to politician during campaign and its not for free...PH need to go full throttle and not half half...if only half then for sure some will retaliate...

actually we order it way before, only that we are suppose to received the first batch of 2 by last December.
Iinm the model is GE Predator XP 4 unit under US FMS program and this was suppose to be pair with the scan-eagle program to compliment each other.
But then plan changes and we opt for UCAV instead thus this program cancel and for UCAV we need go thru the US Congress for approval. Earlier this year seems that the list of UCAV has been listed by the government along with the local agent company. Who knows which one will be chose.

A helicopter of the U.S. military dropped a container that was being airlifted via sling load in the vicinity of Cheoin, Yongin City, South Korea on September 23, 2019. During the incident, a building was damaged, but no people were harmed.
The aircraft belonged to the 2nd Infantry Division/Combined ROK-U.S. Division and, according to the local fire department, was transporting a fuel pump at the time of the incident.
“Unit leaders are at the site,” Public Affairs Officer Martyn Crighton confirmed to AeroTime, adding that “a thorough investigation to identify the cause and circumstances that led to the incident has been initiated”. Crighton did not specify which type of helicopter was involved.

bad news is army did not get other things they want....so far as long the new things keep going into inventory, its consider good already...you can already seen the govt stand on military is not that tough so cant ask much...
257 AV8 sure not enough imo..i do hope we make another batch with AFV30,LCT30 ATGW and IFV25 mainly for sabah and sarawak....but then there are other requirement such as the High Mobility Protected Vehicles, wheel SPH,nuri replacement and upgrade for adnan and MIFV so need to be contend with it...also the new govt already said few times to give army what they want and need so next procurement we can expect good things....i hope...
