What you see here is the retail package. It comes in a big box. Very well packed and protected. There are some really thick foam blocks that keep the PSU sitting snugly in the box to prevent damage during transportation. I've also included a standard size 300W ATX PSU in the picture so you can see just how compact the OP750 is. The OP750 is only slightly bigger than the 300W Acbel. The OP750 is compact, but still very heavy. It's listed as 2.6kg. Small cases will have no issues with this PSU. There's some good news here for friends of the planet. The black paint used on the PSU case is lead free paint and the PSU itself also RoHS compliant.

Here is the top of the OP750. It uses a single 120mm fan. Silverstone rates the fan noise as 22dBA minimum. From my trials, the fan can't be heard over the rig's system fans so it's nice n quiet. Though Silverstone has packed a very powerful PSU into a small, compact case, they've managed to keep the unit cool and quiet.

The power connector wire is now of the normal type. It's no longer the proprietary pin type like the OP1000. The wire is thicker than normal PSUs though.
The OP750 comes with a whole bunch of wires and they're not modular. Some of you may be disappointed about not getting modular plugs at this price point. Those who like modular plugs can get the DA750 which is the same PSU.

The OP750 comes with the following plugs: 1x 4pin n 1x 8pin CPU plugs, 4x 6pin PCIe plugs(for 8800GTX SLi), 1x 8pin PCIe, 20+4 pin ATX plug, 6x SATA plugs, 6x molex plugs and 2x floppy plugs. Take note that the OP750 is only semi sleeved. The sleeves only go up to the 1st plug of the SATA and molex plugs. I would have preferred it if Silverstone sleeved it all the way. I sleeved the remainder of the SATA n molex wires on my own to make it nicer. Those of us who are not modders wouldn't dare to open up the SATA n molex plugs for sleeving so that's a minus point there.

The PSU is very well built. Look at the pictures above and you will see it's very nice and neat inside too. All soldering is done by robots. Silverstone has just completed their robotics plant in Taiwan and is very proud of this fact. All the new PSUs are now made in the robotics plant with much higher levels of quality control too.

Chart taken from Silverstone's website.

Look at the above spec sheet and you will see just how strong this PSU is. It's a single 12V rail design with 60A. That's some awesome amperage right there. Efficiency is really good too at over 80%.

I added 6 extra 120mm fans and 4 CCFL lights to stress the PSU even more.

Spec sheet of test rig.

AMD X2 4200+ OC to 2.6ghz
Arctic Cooling Freezer64 Pro HSF
Asus A8N32SLi Deluxe Motherboard
2x 8800GTX in SLI config. OC to 650/2100
2x1gb Team Xtreem Cronus OC to 520mhz @ 2.9V
150Gb Western Digital Raptor
250Gb Western Digital Caviar
Panasonic SATA DVD drive
6x 120mm fans
2x 90mm fans
4 tubes of CCFL lights

Let's move on to the real world performance now. The above spec sheet is the system I used to test the OP750. I ran dual instances of Prime 95, MSN, 7 pages of Internet Explorer, Everest Ultimate 2006 and Disk Defragmenter while playing Company of Heroes at 2560x1600 and maximum graphics options on. Just take a look at the screenshot of the Task Manager in the picture above, look at the sheer amount of programs running!

Take a look at the Everest console and you can see the voltages were rock solid while doing all that. The voltages didn't drop at all. The 12V rail stayed at 11.9V, the 3.3V rail stayed at 3.26V n the 5V rail stayed at 4.92. Even when they fluctuated, the fluctuations were extremely small. The fluctuations I noticed were only 0.01-0.06V for all 3 rails.

Conclusion
This is a very powerful, stable and compact PSU. This PSU is perfect for those with smaller cases yet demand high power. I don't think we can ask for anything more from it. It's nice and quiet, rock solid stable and it doesn't get hot at the maximum load I could throw at it. I can safely say this PSU will last a pretty long time as it even includes plugs for future standards. Also bear in mind I fully loaded up a highly overvolted n overclocked system with a whole bunch of fans and lights. The OP750 handled all the abuse I gave it and yet it wasn't anywhere near it's limits yet. The Silverstone Olympia OP750W PSU get's a big thumbs up from me.

RM580??? Definitely impossible. The OP650 is already going RM699 retail price. This baby is surely above the RM700mark. Maybe even over RM800..

it's easy... Zeus old type, while Olympia new one, others, only ST56ZF comes with single rail while Olympia all watter (OP650; OP750; OP850; OP1000; OP1200) comes with single rail, Olympia supports 8-pin PCI-e connector while Zeus not (well, it can be used on converter though)

I have given them my thoughts on that. Hopefully they listen to our opinions.

Zeus is a multi rail design. Olympia is a single rail design.

not just sleeve all the cables but sleeve all the cables properly...most manufacturers have a tendency of leaving a rather long length of the cable unsleeved (sleeves too short).

they should really sleeve all the way from inside the PSU to the connectors leaving minimal bare cables.

Looks like single rail is becoming a trend nowadays. So is it really better for 1 rail 62A vs 4 rail 18A?

this Q has been asked from time to time, if you want to more about it, Best PSU for Overclocking is the right place, anyway... single rail always better than multi-rail design, enough said wink.gif

Well, its easy to judge by looking it at this way. MOST of the high end PSU's now are on Single Rail. Therefore, single rail should be better..

Now, one question is, is there any PSU with 2 8pin PCIE Connector? If its only one, then it wouldnt be able to do X2900XT Xfire right (unless using converter)..

2x8 pin PCIe hmm.gif I wonder G90/G100/R700 will use up to 2x8 pin PCIe.
