 Laptop auto restart after BSOD

my compaq v3040tu is having problem of showing BSOD then auto restart...anyone got face this problem before? can share and solve problem for me? Thanks...

i did not install any new hardware of software also...the problem just occur like tat..=.=

Wait! Try to boot into safe mode first! Press F8 when you on your PC. Try to boot into safe mode.

ok, you can boot into safe mode right? Click Start - Run type in "msconfig" and DIsable any service not from Microsoft and all start up item. Then Try to boot into normal mode. If cannot uninstall all drivers, if still cannot try format and reinstall windows. Because You need to isolate software problem first before fixing the hardware.

ya..i can boot into safe mode...the running process jus 16 process oly..and the startup items all from Microsoft, except the gtalk, msn, hp software, a4tech mouse software, and bluetooth software...

should i disable all??

try reading at BSOD thread..post ur minidump file there n see wats the prob...

0x7e usually related to ram. Have you check your ram yet? If you can boot into windows, minidump file can be found in c:\windows\minidump

i had removed the new added ram but the problem still occurs...seem like not ram problem leh...

i had attached the minidump file as well..help me diagnosis..thanks..

is ur laptop still under warranty? mayb u can send it back for them to check coz last time i had this problem coz its cause by the ram

i had run memtest and windiag...the mem stress test pass all test with no problem woh...no problem mean no problem with memory r? =.=

normally i used to format my computer if i faced this kind of problem...consists too much of possibility....

thats why i told you to check ZA first, most of your dump files showing ZA causing the BSOD. Try to disable ZA and see if any difference... smile.gif

I had uninstall the ZA...now testing to see if the problem still there..

but if its ZA problem then really weird coz the problem come back ervy 1-2 month after i format & install my windows..last time oso like tat...=.= after format then ok, for 1-2 months.. sad.gif sad.gif
