QUOTE(dudester @ Mar 12 2020, 10:57 AM) Seems like some here would prefer the OP8 Lite. Are you not concern over the use of MediaTek being less whatever to a Qualcomm? Would think we OP fan is always about good value and performance. MTK Dimension 1000 SoC will also lack 8K recording capabilities and true 960fps super slow-mo recording. But does that matter?

Or wait for OP8 to come out so that can buy OP7 series at a much cheaper price. I believe OP still provides regular OS updates up to 3 generations?

Update 12 March: Two listings on China’s TENAA certification site for new OnePlus hardware match up with model numbers previously listed on Geekbench.
The ‘OnePlus IN2010’ and the ‘OnePlus IN2020’ listings do not show any further details of the handset, but certification listings tend to happen a few weeks before a product is launched, a timescale that matches up with other information on the launch of the OnePlus 8 Pro.
Curiously, only two models are listed. While there has been talk of a OnePlus 8 Lite, there has been no recent leaks on this third handset, and the TENAA certification is another cross in the ‘no’ column.

OP8 will be out next week and I guess the cheapest will start from RM3k+. If I dont need 5G, how much are we missing if we choose OP7T over OP8 (non pro version)?

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Apr 12 2020, 07:23 PM) Oneplus switch only when you have your oneplus phone next to you. It's not backup first then restore, it does it on the fly. Just saw someone posted price list on the upcoming Oneplus 8. Flagship killer, Oneplus is no longer. They are now flagship level The base OP8 is RM1000 more expensive than 7T. If dont need 5G and the upgraded SD SoC, might as well stick to 7T

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Apr 13 2020, 01:14 AM) S10 fight with OP7 and 7T series la boss. OP8 series fight with s20 series, and even so its a clear win since the s20 in Malaysia are the Exynos 990 version which is inferior to the Snapdragon 865. I think lazada birthday sale was 2299 or 2399 as well Sorry, was a typo. Was trying to mean S20. Let's see if the price will remain stagnant few months after OP8 is launched.

QUOTE(Omochao @ Apr 27 2020, 07:23 PM) Fastech lim op7t 128gb is now 2k+. Before last year december 256gb was around 1.9k I think with our current currency rate and also how the stocks in china, this would only drive up the prices for op7t. And he's only offering 1year warranty Yes, the gap between 7T and 8 is getting smaller, maybe around RM600

I think Fastech Lim charges RM10 for installation of Global ROM. What about other sellers for imported set?

My OP2 screen shattered and it is not responsive to touches. Is there a way I can transfer the files inside? Plugging USB cable doesnt help because it is in charge mode. Does OTG cable work?

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jun 2 2020, 01:32 PM) You'll need to enable OTG on your device, which includes going into the settings in your phone. But since your touchscreen is no more responsive..... Oh crap, any other methods?
