Maxis branding has eroded over the years. Call themselves premium company that charges premium rates, but failed to deliver premium service. 
If you finding it hard to decide, the best solution is to get both to try, than keep the one which you like best 😅

Personally, I don't like the tap to show feature of the ambient display. Too many accidental touches which makes the screen light up for no reason. So I switched to double tap to wake and it is all good now.

By the way, may I know what is the typical SOT of the 7 Pro? Mine is currently at 6 hrs 23 mins with 34% left.

i kinda agree with you, being that fast charging wont be good for our battery. any excess heat will kill battery faster

even anandtech review for OnePlus 7 pro says they are concerned the heat generated for warp charge

luckily i still keep 20w dash charger from my ex OnePlus 6t, i noticed it charge slower but not much heat generated, hence now i use that charger.
