It means that, when a fund is converted, you have the option to redeem/sell back to ASN. now think, if everyone redeems, let's say, ASM3, ASN will need to fork out $11b. you think they have $11b sitting to rot somewhere?

i think the reason they use ASM is because there is no 51% reservation for bumiputeras and bumiputeris like ASM2. not sure about ASM3, but it appears that there is no reservation in ASM3 also. perhaps one day they will bundle ASM3.

I think they should just merge ASM1 with ASM3.
