The term involved is AUTHORIZED seller. Agent banks are, but you are not.

Think about was it legal to setup a business (assume you got 100m in FP) to sell FP fund at 5% commission? It is the same at individual scale and lower commission.

You got 5m profits to hire a lot of people keep spam for more units as a BUSINESS.

Then setup a platform for buyer and seller to do the tranfer transaction, take 0.5% commission as platform fee + seller commission for himself set by seller.

The point is it wasn't legal.

Transferring is legal.
But no one will sell to public without taking profit i.e. selling which is illegal (or unauthorized is a better word).

Also for anyone claimed willing buyer and willing seller, the same applies to illegal 4D betting. When you are not authorized, it is illegal, as simple as that.

The question isn't why you can but why not? You can transfer your house/money/organ to unrelated person too if you want.

Transfer organ isn't illegal, selling is. This is the law, the rule. And the rule is only authorised agent can sell for asnb case.

They can't set the rule transfer only for related people as this is not seen even on EPF, house etc. This is your freedom.

Anyway, I would agree it is grey area. For example, I can take your 4d betting personally, and no one will ever bother. A lot of people selling organ under the table for the rich, and very less get caught. In Malaysia I would call it grey, but in first world countries where implementation of rules and law are strict, I think it will be clearly defined as legal or illegal just like crypto for example.

To add on, it is as with any unit trusts, they are liquid, can sell anytime, not only ASNB functions this way.

I think he literally means don't blame anyone who did direct deal if you can't get units by spamming captcha. Not wrongly reply, but could phrase it better.

If I understand correctly, actually they complain couldn't get big units e.g. 30k per shot, not complain no unit at all.

Usually I ignore those comments, but some will feed the comments and make it like everyone complain no unit.

Seriously, this thread will soon belongs to kopitiam again. Keep on argue, keep on emotional.

If you want to prove it is legal to do so, just email asnb and get an official reply. I am just sharing my own opinion to those who doubt the legality. I am not the official from asnb, nor what I claimed is 100% correct. You can don't believe, ignore but not personal attack. I don't even pin point the seller or buyer. And digging one's old post is nothing personal?

Did I force you to believe it is illegal, or did I claimed someone need to be jailed for that?

The rule is only authorised person can sell. And when you are not authorized, but sell it via creative way, we can call it as illegal.

As for asking for which act, ask those who sit for unit trust consultant exam, why they need to get the license at all.
