QUOTE(skty @ Jul 3 2019, 09:30 PM) I give simple example, one month ago, my pie chart ratio was ASM1 (3) : ASM2 (6) : ASM3 (1) Because ASM3 has lesser issued units, about 60% of the other two. Then ASM3 separates the non-bumi portion for Chinese and Indian. So there are even lesser units for Chinese.today is ASM1 (5) : ASM2 (4) : ASM3 (1) so you can see ASM1 how easy to get for the past month and ASM3 doesn't even move! so yea I am glad to balance the pie chart. I think ASM1 only difficult once it "cannot be bought". |

sure not less people selling? the second law of thermodynamics says that entropy always increases with time. Eventually, all units will reach a state where no one will be selling anymore. This is happening faster than I expect though, since my unker told me loads of units available last year, and still easily available until Apr 1 this year.
just got 1k ASM1. finish until end of the month unless I get to cash out elsewhere This post has been edited by beLIEve: Jul 4 2019, 03:12 PM |

QUOTE(popice2u @ Jul 4 2019, 03:19 PM) correct. from experience, anything less than 1k is easier. But you'll need to buy 4x to reach 1k, might even take longer than trying 1x1kThis post has been edited by beLIEve: Jul 4 2019, 03:24 PM |

QUOTE(skty @ Jul 4 2019, 03:25 PM) that's difficult though not impossible. but if count the time for 16x1k and 1x16k, maybe 1x16k takes less time. haven't caught anything above 10k since Apr 1 because I lost a few days trying 10k a pop in May without success. I did try random big figures on Jul 1, no strike. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Jul 4 2019, 03:37 PM |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Jul 4 2019, 08:57 PM) Just invest whenever you got the time and ignore the dividend date. It was only one month dividend of fresh investment, which I think usually not more than 5% of total investment (could be <1% for some)... haha. whine a bit can kah? I thought we always try to minimize loss and maximize profit mah. Losing 1 month dividend at 4.5% (assuming they will declare this) will bring me same level as promotional FD.QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jul 4 2019, 10:29 PM) then buy before ASNB suspend the fund for dividend calculation ahahahah. FD mature during suspension. Most probably I'll just realize the 1 month "loss" and buy in Sept. Sementara stok masih ada.easy & simple solution. only problem do have available units Will try ask friends n family help to roll them funds before suspension loh. QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jul 4 2019, 10:47 PM) yup. try family for help first.. tell them when my FD mature. I pay back lor Actually, it's easier for me to leech from friends than family. Last month before payday I already leeched some so that I don't have to rush buying towards Jul 1.last time when mega sales.. ask help here & there.. lucky that time have few hours to buy now the biggest question. I wonder if ASM2 would give same dividend rate as ASM1 or lower? oh i didn't know you also sought help everywhere for the big sale woh. I thought you're well prepared for any sales. With ASB3 (despite being a growth fund) this low, I do have some doubts. So I'm looking at ~4.8% loh. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Jul 4 2019, 10:58 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jul 4 2019, 11:02 PM) heheheh.. friends forever 友誼永在 mahhuhuhuh... u think I have endless $$$ laying around.... sometimes needed others help to top up too.. later payback them all 4.8%? wow... even lower than my target I thought your money supply all prepared for any unexpected sales. Like that OCBC thingy. Once sale, just cash out and buy. Haha surprisingly, these friends never borrowed from me. Or maybe 1 did. If they reach the stage having to borrow from me, I don't think they can help me monetarily wise. I don't expect non-bumi funds to give dividend higher than bumi funds loh. 天地不容 ah. Too bad no more dividend before ASM2. If got, then can use as reference since ASB3 is odd one out. |

QUOTE(skty @ Jul 5 2019, 03:27 PM) okok, don't want distract you. good luck bro!QUOTE(Seeker94 @ Jul 5 2019, 03:27 PM) Hi guys, would like to know if my simple calculations are correct. Your calculation sounds correct to me. If there's anything unexpected like Asian Financial Crisis where interest rates soar to 2 digits, cash out and dump into the flexi loan account.I am about to take a fully flexi loan on a subsale house. Interest rates are about 4.2%. Given that ASM1 gives 5.5% dividend and assuming it doesn't change next year, would it be more worth it to put any extra funds I have every month into ASM1 instead of paying extra for my housing loan besides what I'm required to every month? Is it safe to assume that i would gain 5.5%-4.2% = 1.3%? Is there any other things I have to take into account? Thanks in advance!! your challenge is probably to buy the ASM*. for every 100k, the difference is 1300 per annum. you decide worthwhile or not. All 3 Amanah Saham Malaysia 1, 2, and 3 are available for nonbumi. It's just a matter of how much efforts are you willing to put in to buy them. Have to wait for people to sell and fight with many who keeps trying to buy.Best is to sign up for MyASNB online and try buy yourself. |
