QUOTE(sms2u @ Aug 20 2019, 10:19 AM) no really, depend terminal accept prepaid card. If no accept prepaid card, they will no accept big pay. really? I thought them terminals are only network specific, i.e. as long as Visa, Mastercard, Amex then can already. only limit is your BP is only 10k max at any time and 10k max topup from credit card. after that, it's cash.if you guys can convince them to swipe your credit card, i think it'll work. but this'll go back to the original problem where not enought units available. QUOTE(sms2u @ Aug 20 2019, 10:37 AM) yes, there are few type of card which is prepaid card, debit card, credit card no, i mean the terminals, not cards. BigPay can be used everywhere almost the moment they're launched. So it means that the terminals do not need to be patched to accept Prepaids, which also mean that as long as a terminal can read Debit Cards, they can read Prepaid and Credit cards. If u are read those forum in lowyat for finance, u should know. Perhaps someone can try convince them with credit cards on their next visit. i'm quite sure they will decline. otherwise, they would've allowed credit card payment in FPX |

QUOTE(saitong09 @ Aug 20 2019, 09:49 PM) to be precise, i only count back money I put in. Normally make sure not missing during FPX-to-ASN there. Last time sometime x00, then 1000, then y00, then 1000, then z00. when I count back, difficult to round up.after Aug 31, likely I'll buy oddlot to round it back loh. |

QUOTE(mushigen @ Aug 21 2019, 01:11 PM) Ha, my thinking exactly. If everyone is rational and don't sell, how are we going to buy our units? 1. ASN can release new units if required. We lose future dividends no matter which fund we choose to sell. And the accrued dividend will still be paid even if they sell part of the fund. 2. there are approximately 20b+20b+11b = 51b units floating. divide by 100, you still have 510m x 100 units each. what's the probability that not a single soul sell 1 unit out of 510m? ASM2 is 23 years old. until today, it's still buyable today. 3. if everyone is as rational as Bill Gates, there is no need to buy ASN. we create our own Microsoft. |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Aug 23 2019, 06:06 PM) Soon we will see more sellers, fighting with lower rates, maybe even saw in shopee. I thought of shoppee too. but it's probably too costly. Heard shoppee charges 2% commission. if seller wants another 2%, i doubt anyone would buy. Then heard cases that someone get scammed, and PNB removes this feature. and ultimately when PNB finds out, they'll either disable it or add more restrictions. Without online, people can use the traditional way. I think the light blue form. |

QUOTE(daimon @ Aug 23 2019, 10:53 PM) what he mean is, Income Distribution aka Dividend at around 5.5% every year. For most mutual funds, you have to pay commission when you trade. This one has a fixed price of $1. As long as you leave a minimum balance of $1, you still get pro-rated dividends after you sell. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Aug 24 2019, 12:15 AM |

Actually what people need to do is compare the shareholding of each ASM to see if it's really riskier.
ASM 3 Risky or not, I bet those who qualifies for Indian reserved quota and Adam 50 will still buy. I underweight ASM 3 purely because no quota is given to me + 1malaysia branding + it was quite easy to buy back then. % of return will go lower or not is subjected to market condition. ASN can reinvest the dividend they receive for more dividend too. What we are lacking is a huge market swing. Imagine KLSE drop 50% and ASN sell high buy low, then KLSE recover. Another way is what our expert said - start investing abroad like EPF. Zeti said they are exploring that option. QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 25 2019, 06:12 PM) I thought she just did. Her point is "less established", i.e still new. So it's riskier. The fund is new, but the fund manager is not. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Aug 25 2019, 08:26 PM |
