Some Digi postpaid plans indeed are not available for signup at Digi Store.

That’s the normal Digi Postpaid 80 plan. So basically you will get RM10 off for life as long as you stay on the plan. Pretty good deal!

ONEXOX Black Postpaid is cheaper. But it rides on Celcom network. If Digi is serving you well, then there is no reason to jump ship. Just stay with Digi and upgrade your plan to Digi Postpaid 70.

But based on Digi reported ARPU, it looks like most of their postpaid subscribers are on Digi Postpaid 80 plan, and probably not as many Digi Infinite subscribers as many thought, hence Digi has also not withdrawn the plan from sale, which may also suggests Digi Infinite plans don’t have stable subscribers base as too many come and go.

Before U Mobile came into the picture, Digi was the price leader and most aggressive with new features for its Beyond Prepaid products with unlimited SMS on MTV pack before smartphone became a thing, FnF for all networks etc because Digi was not in the same league as Maxis and Celcom. Things have improved significantly since, however, it’s just a matter of time before Digi has to do a counter offer for the unlimited data in the prepaid segment or Digi will start losing customers in the prepaid segment.

Hence FUP needs to be enforced, like what Hotlink is doing with its Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited passes.

Celcom is a typical GLC, and despite having the same resources as Maxis (the spectrum), somehow Maxis network is just superior. So Celcom problem is more than just congestion issue.


Digi Infinite is your answer but unfortunately Digi performs poorly at your place. Digi is quite stable in PJ, but not around centre of KL.

May be I mixed you up with another person using Celcom Mega postpaid plan now.

If they are happy with Celcom, then they should just change to Xpax and subscribe to the RM35 monthly pass for unlimited data and calls.

However, service migration from Celcom postpaid to Xpax is not possible. So the only way is to port-out to another telco. At this moment Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited is probably the best proposition out there. Then subscribe to the RM35 or RM45 pass for unlimited data (FUP of 50GB) and calls.

If they are happy with Hotlink, then stay with Hotlink. Otherwise, you can help your parents to port-out to Xpax again 1 month later from your service activation with Hotlink.

I beg to differ. The market is huge due to the large students population. This kind of plan is cheap yet offers a lot of mobile data. Kids these day play so much online games. They are definitely going to like this kind of plan.

But otherwise, current Digi Prepaid offerings are already competitive. However, Digi cannot ignore its competitions and has no choice but to offer similar pass in order to stay competitive.

Hotlink is actually still giving you a choice even if you just register for a new Hotlink line. If you prefer full speed, you can just sign up for Hotlink Prepaid Video which you can subscribe to passes that come with 10GB normal data + 20GB video + unlimited calls for RM50. Hotlink isn’t forcing everyone to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited. People can still choose between cheap data with capped speed or full speed data. Believe that is what Digi is going to do too. Basically they are going to try to cover every market segment and there is something suitable for everyone.

No problem from my end. Had received 2 calls and made 2 calls out this morning. I’m using Digi postpaid though.

In the Digi app update yesterday. It mentioned about e-wallets. But I saw no promotion on the app. Any of you know what it was about ?

I noticed that Digi is giving RM5 credit for RM50 reload. Any idea if the RM5 credit is added into our prepaid credit and if there is expiry date for the RM5 free credit ? Because when I was still using Digi prepaid about 9 years ago, I remembered we get free credit from Digi when we reload during our birthday month, but the free credit came with expiry date.

Call DiGiHelpline - 0162211800 to find out. Press 1 to select English, then 1 again to access your account information. The system will read out the date.

It doesn’t seem possible to change Digi Prepaid to Digi Postpaid or to switch Digi Postpaid plan online via Digi website anymore. Shame! That was such a convenient feature! The function was still there just a few days ago!

But I wonder how an existing Digi postpaid user can to change to Digi Infinite if they do not provide the option to switch postpaid plan online since Digi Infinite is available only online...

Third button to change plan or upgrade from prepaid to postpaid is missing. This is on iOS on Google Chrome. Shall check it out later on laptop.

Wanna speculate what Digi is going to do in response to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited and Xpax Unlimited Pass ?

We’ve seen RM35 monthly pass for unlimited calls and unlimited data with a capped speed at 3Mbps that mysteriously appeared and disappeared on MyDigi app. But many are right, that probably won’t help much in expanding Digi customer base in the prepaid segment, or prevent people from jumping over to Hotlink, especially those staying in the city in Peninsular Malaysia.

So perhaps Digi should also come up with a RM40 monthly pass that offers unlimited calls + unlimited data with a capped speed of 5Mbps to counter Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited RM45 pass

Not really a hint. But just personal view that to take on Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited RM45 pass, Digi need to price theirs below RM45. And in order not to risk cannibalising the sales of Digi Postpaid 100 Infinite, to cap the speed at 5Mbps sounds just about right.

They are doing away the 10GB complimentary music and video data. Not so good compared to Digi LiVE Prepaid.
