yesterday news I think..Digi lost around 500k Prepaid user for Q1 2020
but added 250k Postpaid user...
so blended lost 250k users only
so where the 250k users went to is anyone guess....

QUOTE(drcro @ Jun 26 2020, 01:09 PM) ThanksQUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 26 2020, 01:14 PM) Digi not serious on the unlimited thingy... Feel that too, just revamped onlythat's why u see previous post.. the discussion with CS.. mention it's not auto renew.. needed to buy each time after expiry (if still available in your BoS) QUOTE(tympg @ Jun 26 2020, 01:44 PM) Hmmm, yes actually. Both Maxis/Digi over 11 million subs, Celcom over 8 million subs, total over 13 million subs including MVNOs Umobile over 7 million subs Not sure with Yes, Unifi etc... But total over 44 million subs. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 26 2020, 02:15 PM) guess they don't want to make the network more congested... Congested?then ended up like U Mobile... endless complains from users now also already lost many customers... like what I posted previously... Digi didn't partner MVNO 25% of prepaid is non-data users, perhaps Bangla who need IDD RM5 only Digi is oldest telco, their infra was strategic located. Supposed Digi should be outperform than Maxis since many users was low usages or non-data users. |

Digi marketing is most best, even awarded Best Telco Brand from Malaysia, THE ONLY ONE. The facts is their tech was sucks, that's why I never join, even ignored since my dad using before 2000. I give a Digi try since 2018 because free Sim and rm15 unlimited, then found out both celltower just facing and beside my house/works. Digi outperformed Yoodo alot indoor room while both strong 4G+ š This post has been edited by wilson1stop: Jun 26 2020, 01:29 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 26 2020, 02:28 PM) some mention that Maxis invest more better quality equipment vs others telco? Maxis ex-CEO did admit that their did extremely hard works in tweaking user experience and Internet infra network. that's why even with 512Kbps still can load & works for many tasks compared with others telco needs at least 1Mbps or more to work the same thing I think Maxis only Roaming partner with Digi/Umobile for selected areas/services only. Not like Celcom got pulled by their MVNO(s) Please accept the facts also Maxis do experienced major nationwide outages and some places also weak signals and endless buffering, you can feel in certain places along Plus highways. Conclusion, nothing perfect even Singapore Telcos also Outages 1-3 time each year. Try get a dual-sim as emergency backup, for me it's Digi+Yoodo which is flexible and affordable. QUOTE(saitong09 @ Jun 26 2020, 08:14 PM) Stocks analysts now put DiGi under "Hold" status which is bad news to their shareholders.Funny thing is that in Malaysia every quarter sure all the telcos take turns to offer good deals to make subscribers switch and port out like merry go around musical chair. So they take turns to announce revenue increase and dividends. This can only happen because all of these telcos have the same circle/group of cronies who own major stakes in them. They make it look like there's competition but which ever telco gains from profits they'll be enjoying the dividends handouts. Last time DiGi announce their Infinite plans everyone rush to it and port out from other telcos now Hotlink pull off the Unlimited Prepaid plan, The Celcom. Very predictable pattern. |

This time DiGi is held back because must kasi chance to Maxis, last time Maxis was held back to give DiGi, before the two, Celcom got to launch Midnight Owl to get customers. |

QUOTE(judehow @ Jun 26 2020, 09:42 PM) I'm talking in aspect to major shareholders inside these telco companies. The ones that the management has to please. Customers are sheeps. They'll gladly go to where got fresh green grasses. So planting green grasses at strategic places for different season will get them will lure them as planned.
