Signature provide 10 years warranty.. but you need to understand what is their T&C..
I get quote 12FT cabinet + 9ft wall + 12ft quartz by Signature almost 14k without SINK, TAP, HOD and HOOD.

Going for SCI cabinet same thing almost 9K + some accesories and eletrician + Plumber works, + SINK TAP HOD and HOOD almost 12.5k.

But workmanship no idea as alot review say it is sucks.

My parents house use Signature Kitchen. So far only issue is the door below sink there start "kembang" already...other than that no issue at all.

I just make the final confirmation with SCI yesterday and what they claim that previously they got outsource but very troublesome. They can arrange their in house installer however it might need to wait .

This kitchen built 10 years ago. So far only the cabinet door under the sink have some "kembang" other wise all still in good condition. Suggest you upgrade the cabinet door under sink to have better to avoid this...

I tried to ask for quotation from woot, but they gave me some dumb designer who don’t even read the basic design requirement that I spelled out in my sketch, which was pretty details already. End up she’s asking questions which she doesn’t need to even ask.

She can’t even differentiate between an island and peninsula

End up she didn’t reply me at all after I asked her to read back the sketch I gave her. Shit service even before it begins.

There are plenty of better companies out there since you even have budget for signature kitchen.

Lack of knowledge was a big turnoff for me. I don’t want to get into trouble later having to guide them like little kids on how I want my KC to be like. I prefer to engage contractor that hire people with actual knowledge.

You can’t go any wrong with signature kitchen, except that you’re paying premium price. But better pay premium price for peace of mind rather than engaging companies like woot and having headache later.

I had the same dilemma as you. I hate the look of dish drainer. So I opted to use one of the double bowl sink to as drainer + small countertop dish drainer which I could keep inside the cabinet after using them. It is a hassle to take them out and put back into the cabinet and I have to rajin wipe the dishes after "draining" them. Something that I have to sacrifice for the sake of clean looks.

I'm having Itto handmade SS sink with nano tech, seems better than the Kohler SS sink you had. Btw perhaps you could recommend the brand/model of granite sink you're using since not every brands of granite sink will be the same.

To put into perspective, I have removed an undermounted SS sink mounted to quartz top before (from a "halfcut" due to "wrongly ordered" by a big kitcab firm).
They stuck the sink to the quartz top using epoxy adhesive, it can be removed but involved using a blade/knife to slice the epoxy layer.
The quartz "halfcut" was to be disposed off so I didn't bother cleaning the mounting edge.
I think this is the part that the KC guy was worried about but after removing off the sink the hole is already accessible and previous mounting edge can be sanded down for the new sink.

Cleaning up the epoxy residue on the SS sink took awhile to scrape off and fine removal with steel wool but doable.

Technically prep work is just:
to remove the sink connections (tap flexihose and drain pipe) and
unscrew the top's L joints from the bottom carcass and
remove the plinth (if any) and slice the caulking at the wall-top connection..

from there nothing is holding back the top already.
Then you can take out the whole top with the sink attached* as a single piece.
Old sink can be removed and new sink can be reattached.
Some recaulking here and there at the part where top meets the wall.

*May not work well for ultra long top or L shaped kitchen top.
*Unless they epoxy the top to the carcass which is quite a silly thing to do (to make it non-serviceable).

Some people just want to sell you a new kitchen in 20 years I think.
Whilst I cannot comment more since I got the free sink halfcut from that place also.

For me this is why I still like the ikea modular kitchen. Any problem it is easy to just change that particular carcass module only.

i want to check my understanding on the counter top and undermount sink installation.

usually for kitchen cabinet, they will place a layer of plywood first before placing the quart stone on top

then for undermount sink is actually sandwich in between the ply wood and counter top

when they put the quart stone on the top, do they apply any glue to permanently bond the counter top with the plywood ?

Such payment term certainly gives you very little recourse in the event that they did a sloppy job since you already paid them full, zero risk for them as all monies collected upfront.

If half upfront and half upon satisfactory completion of works sound more reasonable to me.

For a baseline, roughly how much did they quote (and scope of works)?

The only risk is that they may or may not entertain you if you have some dissatisfaction about the final product. Both signature and unity are quite popular in KC so shouldn't have issue like incomplete job after full payment.
