plywood laminate vs melamine ABS price difference usually how much in terms of % ?

plywood better right? how about the aesthetics ya

Yes plywood laminated more durable and resistant to water.

But melamine looks good too as long as you rajin sikit keep it dry all the time and melamine shall be 12 to 15% cheaper if without consider the accessories and hardware.

Hi guys,

I at Starling Mall's home expo seen Allmilmo Kitchen Design's promo package.
Pricing is very tempting and the display kitchen cabinet/wardrobe quality looks promising.

Their facebook/official web looks newly setup only and no review.

I want to ask is this too good to be true?
Have anyone tried them before and how's the quality and experience?

Regards

make sure ask them to write you the size ( length especially ) for the kitchen top and also bottom cabinets, are top hang cabinet also 20 feet long I doubt.

Also the cabinet cascade and doors materials of course, I think they will be melamine base. check if the door provided is 3G, 4G, acrylic, colour glass, etc as different door type cost quite different.

Hi, has anyone installed this type of semi-open kitchen before? Any pros and cons?
Where to source the materials i.e., glass door and window? Can the kitchen cabinet maker install the door and window or I need to hire another contractor to do it?

Thanks.

you can either ask a main contractor to do all for you or ask kitchen supplier and aluminum window supplier do for you separately.

Yet if you are heavy cooker, I still think it is not a good idea to do this at the supposedly dry kitchen area, as the only cooker hood will not enough to suck all smoke out while you are cooking.

Practically still better do a proper wet kitchen at yard area as there are windows and you can do additional exhausted fan on the wall to suck out the cooking smokes.

My advice to people who has no experience in using cheap quartz, please avoid cheap quartz. Quartz is suppose to be maintenance free, but cheap quartz, keeping it clean is PITA.

Spend more and go for branded quartz. You guys don't want to repeat the same mistake that I did. sweat.gif

Agreed, if can't afford high end quartz caesarstone, better opt for solid surface top rather getting cheaper quartz top

so meaning to install the hob and hood in the kitchen before buying the cabinets right? I plan to get a portable tabletop hob instead of built-in:

I think portable ones better than built-in as is versatile and I bring it anywhere, even the dining room.

Yes, portable induction cooker helps to free up counter top space for small kitchen especially.

If you just cook occasionally then portable one can be a good option, just store it under cabinet if don't use can have empty counter top for baking and other stuff
