Hi
I am looking for contractor that can do stainless-steel kitchen top/cabinet.
Found one company - CABE (M) Sdn Bhd. I have yet contacted them, but from their website and IG, it looks like they cater for commercial kitchen. I plan to reach them soon but in the meantime I want to have input from here as well.
Anyone has experience with contractor that can do this job? or if can give price estimation, that would be much appreciated.

QUOTE(noien @ Aug 7 2023, 11:38 AM) Not sure if something heavy drop on it and it will show a dent for stainless steel surface? never thought of this from my little research, stainless steel also has different types. maybe good one wont dent easily, if not commercial kitchen wont use it because theirs is heavy duty use compare to residential kitchen

QUOTE(noien @ Aug 7 2023, 05:21 PM) I did see some in those commercial kitchens that have dent. It won't be obvious since it is in their kitchen and they use it every day. However for residential,it might be an eyesore I just hope that mine won’t if i use it with love and care haha I found few companies specialised in stainless steel counter top/cabinet for residential. I think i will ask for their quotation and decide from there. Thanks for your replies 🙌🏻

QUOTE(blancpain4470 @ Nov 13 2019, 07:35 AM) Nothing in renovation is simple. If you go cheap then less thought can be put in as less regret later! But if you want one that support your lifestyle and activities then you need to think hard what do you want. For my current renovation I listed down every area and every rooms requirements. Design based on those requirements. Color of the paint, countertop material, smart switches and color of the switches, led size shape lumen, normal socket vs eubiq, total power for each area, curtain vs blind and type, water filter indoor and outdoor, garbage disposal, granite vs stainless steel sinks, taps, etc etc If you don't want to have regrets better plan down to last details. FYI the arrangement and layout of my switches I won't let my electrician simply install 🤣 This post has been edited by Bijisss: Sep 11 2023, 03:03 PM

QUOTE(Zot @ Mar 22 2023, 08:31 AM) I think melamine has different grade also. The inner core is wood particle. While the surface is robust and water resistant, the cut side can still absorb water and expanded. Even after wiping the dishes it is still damp. Putting in closed cabinet is not the way in hot and humid climate like Malaysia. Even if your whole house is air-conditioned, there is still no air flow in cabinet. Over time you will get clumsy and water may dripped, go to the cabinet cornet and absorbed by the melamine. I have less used cooking utensil and dishes in rack under my cooking hob (to get heat and blower from hob to do the job ) but part of the door has perforated stainless steel sheet to help with ventilation. The door under sink cabinet is also the same. The sink can be cold and form condensation underneath inside the cabinet below. Having perforated door will help dry the cabinet and prevent stale smell or become roaches heaven. My table top has plenty space. So, I put on top at a corner just a bit away from sink. If you need to have your dishes inside top cabinet, make sure you have perforated door to prevent trapped humidity. Hi sir, Regarding perforated door, does it really work to dry the cabinet and prevent stale smell? No roaches can masuk?

QUOTE(Zot @ Sep 4 2023, 08:28 AM) Sure. No stale smell and no roaches because the hole is small around 3mm only. I used stainless metal sheet which I think easy to find in market. Not using the metal net because it will not look good and fragile also. I just made it as strip, not whole door which I think more stylish. Something like my drawing below. [attachmentid=11478036] Thank you for taking time to reply! I will use your drawing as reference. Tq!!
