At the same time, the company allow traditional tuk-tuk drivers to upgrade to newer tuk-tuk from India and Thailand. These are more comfortable and powerful. Plus they ran off LPG.

Eventually traditional tuk-tuk slowly went out of business. Only a few left to serve smaller towns or rent out to new drivers.

So, when in Cambodia, always use PassApp or Grab to avoid cheating. Drivers dare not cheat under this system because if they do, the company blacklist them forever.

Taxi in Malaysia still never evolve. Full of con drivers and those from shady backgrounds. If gomen have will power, ban taxis forever.
