This game gooding? I watch the walkthrough seems pretty bland hack and slash

ToP is a classic , like the first Star Ocean game . I don't think any games in the series can compare .


Tales of Arise is the right direction towards the TalesOf Series future .

Never judge a game by watching it .


The actual combat is amazing to play , doesn't mean it is amazing to watch since all the audience see on the screen are tremendous amount of flashy artes . But for the controlling player it is a whole different story .

I like Kisara , she seems more down to earth and realistic

Shionne has just a little bit too much of the tsundere-stereotype .
Her costumes are really elegant though .

if you a fan for Tales game then this is best Tales game ever tbh combat is so fun and fluid and flashy

fighthing normal enemy put max difficulty "hard" macam easy only but when fight boss difficulty spike increase macam haram jadu...hahahha

The game combat has a lot of layers.
Need chain combo with artes to stagger, then use boost strike to counter certain enemy action, then need spec the chars according to your style.

Not just hack and slash. I played the demo and I was drowning coz they gave us all the layers at once end up I just mash button.
But in the game they gradually add the layer so u understand it. And it’s damn good and fun

I just arrived at Elde Menencia and met Kisara muahahaha. My last Tales series was Tales of Eternia on old PS. At that time i frequent visit a website called GameFAQs and it even used to have chat feature. Ah good old days.

I was really enjoying the game but it is disgusting how much Namco Bandai is forcing you to buy the DLC .



Imagine there are ARTES and abilities in the game LOCKED behind the microtransaction paywall , how greedy can you be Namco Bandai ?
Not to mention the constant notification popping up whenever you are camping , reminding you to buy new DLC .



They have already took one of very few method to recover Health in the game , locked them behind CP which is essentially Mana Points from previous game .

You need CP for all sort of buffing skill , all healing and resurrection skills , field quest , field abilites to unlock doors and chest etc etc .
Clearly CP is extremely precious in the game .


But it cost a whooping 3000 gold in game for an Orange Gel, which was commonly found in past games .
Worst of all , it isn't even available for purchase until later in this game .

Guess what ? You can get permanent Game store discount from buying their Premium dlc package , and 100000g which will probably save you many hours on these fetch and kill side quests .


So much to the point it is actually game breaking , because it has rendered all resurrection and buffing spells worthless since they cost a whooping 50CP to cast , just keep buying life bottles from the merchant instead.


Despicable how they are willing to compromise on the game balance just to promote their DLCs.


Shame on you Namco Bandai . You made a great game but you keep ruining it with your greedy little fingers .
I am not opposed to paying extra for a great game but since you have ruined it all I no longer have the desire to .

fuck them really.. have a thought of purchasing some skin DLC ....and fuck they locked some skill behind a skin... i am speechless..

outfit is one thing....locking skill behind DLC is fuck up move.

While I don’t agree with the move, but it’s still playable and not that big of an effect. I’m playing on normal mode without the dlc except the costume that came with standard edition. Was able to survive and only after third city did I have to grind a map or 2 for about 30 minutes coz I was sick of always lacking gald coz all used up in life bottle and cp gel. Farmed the storming beak with food buff.
Worked great and I didn have to grind anymore after that.

The artes lock behind dlc is a bummer but then again I’m just using 12 out of the many ones haha. And I don’t experiment much. Just found one set that worked for me and just stuck with it
