QUOTE(ZM Fong @ May 8 2020, 08:03 PM) Yes, rumors and confirmed news Is the confirmed one Asus and Lenovo laptop? I know these two brands had introduced new laptops with AMD processors, but I dunno how good is the cooling... Anyway, if I am urgent, any laptop you will recommend? (Just get some suggestion for backup plan, in case I suddenly need to buy a new one)

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ May 11 2020, 02:50 PM) I just list down a few here Ryzen 4000: Tongfang GK5-0 / GK7-R, Legion 5, HP Omen. So far Intel 10th gen: Legion 7 / 5Pi / 5i
So far the new Legions aldy got reviews, thermals improved compared to Y540 / Y740
If you really want to buy now, can consider these with 2060 GPU: Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-794X Illegear Rogue Lenovo Legion Y540 customize (i7,2060,144Hz; apply code LENXCIMB)
Ok, are those upcoming laptops comes with the new refreshed 2060? (115w) And also for the Acer Predator Helios 300 and Lenovo Legion Y540 customize, are they come with old 2060 or the new one? I already know Illegear Rogue comes with the old one since they already stated there clearly. This post has been edited by okw1: May 11 2020, 03:19 PM

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ May 11 2020, 04:25 PM) from 80-115w, depending on model
Helios 300 has 80w 2060 (Turbo mode will apply OC), Y540 has 85w 2060
Ok thanks, was preferring the new 2060 since I am planning to use it within few years...

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ May 12 2020, 11:31 AM) actually there's not much different between old 2060 and new 2060 if capped at same TGP / power budget Err example if both at 90W the performance not much different, is that what you mean? If like that then for what purpose Nvidia announced the new/refreshed 2060?

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ May 12 2020, 03:17 PM) Yes Just a refresh with slight downgrade+slight upgrade specs and allows TGP up to 115W (previously only Tongfang did that) Oh like that, but I heard that the old 2060 might having graphic issues with the DLSS2.0 and the ray tracing, was that been fixed in the latest drivers? If yes then I may no need to eye on the refreshed version....

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ May 12 2020, 04:46 PM) You mean review on Legion laptops? Unless I got one, I wouldn't be able to do it If you're curious about thermals of each model, I have compile all the data info an Excel file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ifsxRRnARf...iew?usp=sharingYa the Legion Laptops. Need to know if the new one can handle the thermal well with 2060 and Ryzen or not. Thanks for the document, it does simplify a lot. Any plan to add in other model once you can get one to test?
