need a recommendation on the configuration of i5, i7

If i normally use for opening max 15 chrome tabs, 2 excel files with 2000 formulas, chatting tools like QQ, and a POS system.

Currently using Surface Pro 4 i5 4gb which starting to lag already.

Wondering does having i7 help in my case?

Ya Win 10...last time no money but want buy Surface so bought 4gb only haha.

Do you think i5 8gb good enough for my usage?

As long as the SSD don't suck (eg has DRAM), SATA drive will be enough (at least better than HDD)

For GPU - if you often do light gaming, then would suggest getting MX230/MX150/MX250 25W. 10W variant not much faster than Vega 8/10

Hi Bosses, long time didn't follow laptop market, recently my Toshiba Portege T230 LCD broken and HDD failure soon, so looking for cheap replacement, please help to give recommendation
1. Budget: RM1k max.
2. Usage: For home usage, mainly Youtube, Online banking transaction, Forum browsing.
3. Requirements
Display Size: 13" - 14"
Battery Life: 2 hours
Weight: Doesn't matter as mostly using at home

Some may ask why not getting a PC? My house is very small and I already have 1 PC for family member watching movie, so no more space to fit another PC.

One family member has Lenovo Ideapad 110 laptop with Celeron N3060, I think last time bought also RM1.2k like that. Not sure why it was super slow like snail since new with HDD and CPU frequent 100% even though I have reset the Windows 10 a few times. I'm trying to avoid new laptop having similar issue, is it because Windows 10 not suitable for HDD with 5400 rpm?
