could u try 1 more time? confirm it properly install inside the slot.
or try to swap each ram's position. put the 256 in slot 1, then put 512 in slot2.
one more thing is the electronic part & ram,its quite sensitive, becarefull the electrostatic.
or try to use yo ram to yo fren's laptop (the one u mentioned use fujitsu,no problem), if it oso cant use, that mean the ram problem, u should take it back to change.

Hi there. I also have a Fujitsu notebook. But last week i went to Fujitsu's service centre at Wisma Lien Hoe, the technician there told me that I have to buy specific RAMs for Fujitsu which is Kingston branded in order to make them work. Am not sure about this. Because when you want to buy a specific RAM,it's hard to determine unless you copy down the correct serial and find the correct RAM. Any Fujitsu notebook owners have experience in upgrading their RAM on your laptop? Please share. Thank you~!!

The is difference in the type of ram, like Dell Notebook, use a special type of ram, if not mistaken is "KVM" type of ram. Just check it with your current ram before any purchases (better to bring along the notebook for them to install and test than only goto pay)

have you tried to insert only the new ram (old ram take out) ? it should work if you laptop support ddr333 or ddr400.

cause from the cpu-z screen you provided, the adata ram do not set spd for ddr266. if your laptop only support ddr266, then this ram wont work.

Tony is right...Not all RAM support all frequencies...(Correct me if i'm wrong)
For example, your A-Data RAM only support 333Mhz and 400Mhz only..
But your laptop only supprt maximum 266Mhz...

My suggestion is try get another memory that support at least 266Mhz..
