To those of you who have heard Ocean of Fire's album, what do you think of Kelvyn's style?
i was playing it in my car this afternoon and my dad said he tends to use a certain technique a lot.
I noticed that too, he does trills and repeats a particular lick one too many time on most of his songs
still sounds good though

not the sweeps haha. i'm too lazy to tab it out but its no biggie

as for those sweeps.. i would practice them seperately first before combining both parts(ascending and descending)

i couldn't agree more.. the way i sweep pick is pretty weird, sometimes its like how MAB used to sweep, where your picking hand is stiff and you dont turn your pick, just angle it like how you would normally pick. i've been trying the change-pick-direction thing and i find it harder to pick that way. maybe its because i'm used to the former, but i'll work on it once i get back my guitar.
but i agree on the hand sync part. don't think about it too much, let your fingers do the playing and let your ears listen to the cleanliness
