Hey R35 Owner.

Want to ask, how much do you think I should at least earn on a monthly basis to maintain r35 including whatever possible charges like road tax, petrol, repairs, maintenance and etc?

How Much?

a)Minimum Amount
b)Comfortable Amount (Not giving a flying duck Amount and just burn the money without checking your account)

and also how much I need to reserve for emergency?

You need atleast 3k a month with a second hand r35...this is just to cover car installment and petrol. Another 1.5k for car insurance and road tax monthly.

If car break down....due to parts...depend..engine is about 30k for engine lantai

I'm not an owner myself, however I know quite a number of owners (and ex owners) so from that experience:

A) 10k monthly
B) 15 to 25k monthly
C) 20 to 30k cash reserves

Road tax alone is already rm5.8k/year or almost rm500/mth.
Insurance depends on your car value and NCD, can easily be more than the road tax.
Monthly loan again also depends on car price and loan terms. If you buy the oldest, cheapest 2007-2009 r35 at around rm200-300k then installments can easily reach 5k/mth.

i think everyone can survive the first stage of installment and a lot of ppl sold off their car at the later stage Maintenance. that's the problem.

I'm assuming you have no other commitments so you can consider income for car and nothing else.

Unless you earn that level and eat Maggie and roti drink plain water everyday

First of all, for 10-12yrs old sports car, can you still get 7 years loan? Then also can still get only 3.7% rate? Genuine question here coz I'm really not sure. Probably a more realistic installments would range in the 4+k/mth just to be a bit conservative.

Yup installments is one thing, maintenance is another variable which can be even more unexpected especially for used supercars like this. It can hit you with a sudden smack of few thousand dollars if something goes wrong with it. I think income of just rm10-25k is not really suitable to own such supercars yet. There's some popular general guide that if you want to buy a car, you should have at least an annual income equal to the price of the car when new. But again depends on how you manage your finances.

My suggested was based on a used car ...not new ...but yes ...maintenance is a killer....maybe should just go for a z instead

I think nobody will be that crazy to put their priorities for super cars over their daily sustenance.
I mean monthly income include everything , house , single income. etc. no family yet.
