Manuka honey also got a lot of fake. Real one should be available in New Zealand manuka honey website, with their ratings.

There are two quite good ways of determining if a honey is fake or not.
1. Buy directly from beekeeper/gatherer
2. Check ingredients and buy from trusted manufacturer.

Most other tricks don't work or give alot of false positives.

Nothing fancy, I remember doing it with some honey I bought straight from a farm in Korea years ago. The harvester said just watch the honey set, and you'll be able to see honeycomb shapes.

I put some honey into a glass, and..... Honeycomb shapes

I didn't even add water, it was just honey

I had those before, those were really delicious man. And yea they are usually that expensive, I'd suggest you try all the reputable brands because their texture and taste does not differ much from brand to brand. Manuka honey has a complex taste profile and texture to it you just know if it's fking Manuka honey when you taste them, can't escape.

Chances are that you might be having adulterated Manuka honey, because nobody can fake it's taste other than diluting it with sugar syrup.

I not sure, i buy from eu yan sang, say good for building antibodi or so. Not too sweet if compare tepi jalan honey. Bit like flowery taste. Yeah quite diff.

Lol obviously there got manuka honey label here that is not registered under manuka association. If i have time i will search for you.

And the top brands already undergo lab test to determine the umf or mgo factor. The only factor thats not reliable is k factor. And if you notice, those brands that use k factor are selling cheap and some brand not even in manuka association.

I always advice people to only buy from these 3 reputable brands;

-summerglow (the best. License no #1 in manuka association. But sadly not available in malaysia. Need to import)

- komvita (expensive shit but worth it)

- manuka health (best balance for me. I always buy this every 2 months)
