there are 10 packs available to download at the moment.

And 10 packs are max for the gamecard. So if pack 11, or onwards are available for downloading, we need to delete some puzzles...  cry.gif

hmm... well... I was lazy at first but when you really think of your moves and make use of the X mark, you can solve the puzzle with less mistakes. smile.gif

@ penman: I'm at Normal Extra E I think. My gf plays more than I do sad.gif

But I can provide some tips for HMMaster.. I think I'll slowly do that for Picross players..

Here are some of the most basic that you can learn, and use with almost every game.

If the numbers given are "more than half" of total row, then you've got some pieces in the center of the puzzle

Don't understand? Here's how it works.

Hehe.. just going with the basics. Unfortunately, those Free Mode puzzles requires the use of "Overlay on" test mode to try and figure it out for yourself rclxub.gif

I'll go with more "advance" techniques, to help ease of solving the puzzles.

This technique, requires the use of hints, now everyone needs hints, if not free mode puzzles could never be won tongue.gif

This technique, helps narrow down spaces of which don't include cells in them, here's the diagram:

(sorry, text is small)

I always use the midpoint method whereby if there is 4 spaces needed to be filled out of 5, fill in the points that is intersected.

I don't use that method to 1's.
Only to 2 and above.

For instance, 2 when there's 3 boxes left
3 when there's 4 boxes left
etc. etc. etc.

Oh talking about picross, let's play!

Cleared Normal Lv 5 and Freemode Lv 3. So far didn't have the need to use the overlay mode.
