QUOTE(kenlimfornication @ Dec 5 2019, 11:51 AM) Defense not only accountable for the 2 central defenders and goalkeeper. Klopp's system is to defend from the frontline ie Mane and Firmino. We got decent depth in mid but not in def. with matip & clyne sideline, we only have gomez as available backup. Not to mention gomez also a bit fragile. We cant expect Robbo to play 90mins in every game without fatigue/injury. I think Klopp has significantly reduced the intensity of gergen pressing due to the long season and intense fixtures. The expectation is to win every competition we are in. I think we have decent squad depth but not as good as Man City. Though we are able to score 5 with Origi, Shaqiri and Lallana playing. Losing Matip is also another issue, Gomez is out most of the time as well and Lovren is decent back up but is not VVD or Matip. Jan transfer window, backup for lb/rb is top priority. Last season, instead of improving def depth, Klopp loaning out clyne, really facepalm. At one point, we forced to use hendo, milner and fab as def. The rest is history. Lol |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Dec 5 2019, 02:40 PM) Very nice also, Trent one is a lil much better for the speed of the ball. Anyway even our big guy VVD also very good in long pass, not to forget our Matip is also good in going forward and make killer short pass. Robbo too superb in crossing. Its frightening isnt it looking at the passing ability of our defenders. |

QUOTE(frossonice @ Dec 5 2019, 10:37 PM) No worries. We have enough depth to play both matches. Even before, we use reserves + U23 for league cup. For wolrd club cup semi final, even our reserve should be good enough to win the match. |

Will be very interesting for the match against villa. Wonder who they will field, and who will be the star youngster.
Most of our top youngster already with the WCC squad, eg, elliot, rhian and jones.. |

So, Leicester have dropped 10 points. If we played at their current PPG for the remaining 23 matches, we'd get another 53 points (we'd drop 16 points in those games). That'd put us on 96 points. Leicester would need 61 points (assuming they had a better goal difference) to match our 96 points, meaning they could only drop 8 points from the remaining 23 games. City would have to get 64 points, meaning they could only afford to drop another 5 points this season.
Last season we lost one and drew 7. That was 17 points dropped in total. If we play as well as that for the rest of this season, 2.55 PPG, we'd get another 58 points (closer to 59 actually), and another 58 points would see us reach 101 points! Leicester would need 66 points (only dropping another 3), and City - well they'd need to win all 23 of the season's games in a row. ![]() |

Klopp's pre-match press conference vs Bournemouth:
Silva's sacking QUOTE "I feel for him. Since I'm in England, Everton are how we all know, ambitious with big history. One club from the same city that has positive development and you try to catch them, that is what the manager always tries." "It is for sure not all Silva's fault. That is the situation of a coach and we all accept that. No real chance to talk after the game with him." Squad rotation QUOTE “It was not the plan last year to make 30 changes, I’m not sure if that was the most in the Premier League in that period, but it’s the time when you have to make changes,” he told reporters on Friday. “That’s clear. It’s not a specific number, it’s just the need of the situation. And that’s what we will do, 100 percent. “I know when you are a football supporter, then you want to play—in your mind—the best XI all the time. “But it’s not FIFA or Playstation, where they don’t need a rest. It’s just how it is, we have to make these kinds of changes, and we will do, that’s clear. “As long as the boys give me the opportunity, we will do it. “It looks like we can do it in the moment, but we made five changes for the last game and that was exactly the ‘adult’ squad we had. “We have kids in behind, very good kids, I really enjoy working together with them, but if somebody is out for tomorrow, of the squad from yesterday, then the next one will be really young. “So, good, all OK, we wanted to have the situation, and now we have it so let’s use it.” QUOTE “We don’t create Phantasialand or whatever, we just do the right things,” he continued. “And again, the squad is quite experience in that department, so we know that situation. “We have to do the necessary things, first and foremost, we have to respect all the qualities of the other opponents. They are all different, the situation of the other opponent. “So we try to prepare the boys as good as possible, but it’s not that we can exciting sessions a lot. “But yesterday we had the players who were not involved in the starting lineup for the last game, so we had a session which I would have loved to be part of if I was still a player. “Of course we do that, but the guys who played, they had recovery yesterday and today -1, which means prepare them for the specific tactical needs of Bournemouth, prepare them for the set-pieces they have, do our own set-pieces, and that in a pretty short period, because of the physical aspect. “That’s it, and then the main session, the most exciting session, is tomorrow: the game.” On Origi QUOTE "Div is unbelievably important for us, I was really happy that Mr Martinez was in the stadium because so he could watch this and see his qualities because when he [Origi] goes to the national team he never plays a second." "That's always interesting when he's coming back, no game actually so that he was good that he saw that. We knew it before, but if he needs a good feeling, needs to be in a confident mood then everybody knows what he is able to do." QUOTE "Div [Divock Origi] was always so important for us and it was really nice as well that he can show his importance in a game like this which was obviously very important for us and scoring these kind of goals was extra class. "That was exceptional, the run, at the end it looks easy, it was a sensational pass from Sadio of course but making these two steps between the cetnre half and a goalie, that's what a striker has to do actually, get that opportunity and then use it so at the end it was not the most difficult finish but there's still a job to do." "The other one was just a world class goal, I don't see that often. A good ball from Dejan but not easy to control I would say which shows his technique. He's scored goals for us from all different angles." Injury update QUOTE "Everyone looks OK (injury-wise). Nobody is ruled out,. That is good. It is still three hours until we train, but it should be OK. They all should be fine." On Harry Wilson QUOTE "I'm happy to be honest that he cannot play against us, his free-kick is a proper, proper threat," "But we have no doubt about Harry's shooting abilities. His skills in that part of the game is incredible, world class for sure." QUOTE "Harry is at Bournemouth to improve all the rest of his game as well so being involved, being decisive, being between the lines, using his speed and all that stuff and he makes big steps there. That's really important. "They are not on the best run but even there [against Spurs] he scored two goals, nice goals as well, not important enough at the end because they still lost but he kept the game going so good." |
