i want to ask a super noob question here.. im going to buy a sata HDD but i saw that most of the sata are using the new 5 pins power cable(not really sure how many pins) but not the old 4 pins which we usually use.. and the problem is my power supply dont have the new 5 pins power cable for the HDD.. so is it the new sata HDD still can connect the old 4 pins cable? tell me if im wrong in something as i never use sata HDD before... smile.gif

i rather people ask weird question than people giving funny advices.

its counted as spam or not spam i dono lah... haha.. coz i only ask question when non of the threads tells me what i want to prevent spamming the forum.. smile.gif

about the warranty things.. mostly yes.. coz most of computer shop offer one year warranty for the whole computer.. if there is a warranty sticker on the cpu case... then its better dont open it to prevent warranty void.. smile.gif

my statement is refer to windows xp sorry.. most windows vista 64bit can support max until 128GB except for home premium and basic.. as for 32bit.. surely no problem for 4GB.. smile.gif anyway, vista difference with xp is just a physical memory reporting change only.. can refer to microsoft for more info..

actually there is nothing to mad about.. windows xp only report the available physical memory which can be use by the OS.. but now just that windows vista change the way it report the available physical memory.. this time it report the value of memory which you installed.. so there is no change of performance.. want to understand more? go microsoft website to find out.. smile.gif
