for laptop.. izzit must setup dual channel memory with same speed ram?? like a 512 with another 512 stick?? or wad if i setup a 512 with another 1 or 2gb stick.. no problem rite?? doesnt affect anything if using both different speed??
*
both RAM can be different chips, different speed and different brand, but must same capacity, like 2GB with 2GB, 256 with 256.

QUOTE(skyzero @ Apr 18 2008, 10:23 PM)
wanna ask..

what is different between m-atx mobo and atx mobo??
*
m-atx mobo is smaller in size compare to atx mobo, m-atx doesnt hv much pci slot like the atx mobo.

QUOTE(skyzero @ Apr 18 2008, 10:26 PM)
when i ask about mobo stability they always said 'rock stable'...

whats that means...??
*
maybe it meant for extreme overclocking.

QUOTE(d2z @ Apr 19 2008, 12:36 AM)
mayb he wanna said that the mobo is already stable..stable like a rock..correct me if i'm wrong~..

yea,i m using vista and 2 gb ram for now because save the money go for GTX.
btw i will add another 2 gb ram.
driver problem?
may b u are right, because the staff don have install window for me.
because they don help me install pirate window, they are right.
anyway how to check my driver got problem anot ?
*
vista with 2GB RAM r not enough even u hv 9800GX2 or 9800GTX, try use window XP 64 bit with 4GB RAM and u'll get a different result.

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Apr 18 2008, 06:04 PM)
DUn Forget ur testing resolution is 22'' and u are using AMD ....intel testing will get higher score because they OC and intel have higher Cache........and 3dmark06 is not everything....
*
so wat u mean is AMD do not perform better in 22"?? i LOLed

and u also mean that every intel processor hv stock OC while AMD cannot be OC?? i seriously ROFLed

oic,but i prefer window vista.
what i can do is add another 2GB ram.
btw i think i can get better processor.
may b can go for AMD Phenom Quad-Core,but now is too late.
*
there is never too late.....

but the fact is if u use window XP u can get higher marks in PCmark, coz window XP doesnt take much memory, u try to use window 98, will be more better if it dont hv compatibility issues.

which noise u mean? the noise by ur chrome grill or metal mesh?

if the noise is from the intake fan, u can either lower the fan speed by software or by hardware.

2 question:
1st:is there any software can oc my proc ?include the bus speed
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

2rd:is there any different if i change my ddr2 667 2 x 2GB ram to this ram?
i mean the ddr2 800 2 x 2 GB RM385.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
A1: if u're using nvidia chipset then i recommend u use nvidia nTune, a software that allow u to oc ur proc in window, the function is depends on how much ur processor support.

A2: i think ur 2x 2GB r not performance RAM, the 2x2GB stated in the pricelist is performance RAM, which will perform a little better than value RAM, but them, the result can be seen in benchmark and OC, if u ask me how to dirrentiate? i dont know, while plying games, not much different.

Heh I thought darkside means the minority / less favourite / 'dark' side.
Like Intel and AMD - AMD is darkside. Nvidia and ATI - ATI is darkside.

laugh.gif
*
but in some cases, ur so called "dark side" r brighter than the "bright side"

i have a question, my modem have a USB plug, something like a round shape USB, and also a network slot and a slot for telephone line.

can i use the USB to replace my network cable? means i connect my modem with my laptop using USB line instead of network cable, can i do that?

-----------------------

another questions, wat's the different between CAT5 and CAT5e? which one r better for normal modem-PC usage? and the cross over cable is CAT wat?

i called Intel Core2 series as Dark Side as they have really bad ass performance tongue.gif

a DSL modem? you can use it (provided you have the USB cable & CD driver)
prepare for the headache-ness of USB modems rclxub.gif

CAT5/CAT5e you can wiki
lazy coffee pasta whistling.gif

for straight/crossover network wiring, the only difference is each type will have different wire arrangement in the cable for serving different purposes.
link
*
so if i use the USB to connect modem to PC instead of using network cable then i'll need to install the driver?

actually i'va dona a search at the wiki for the CAT5 and CAT5e, but i found their explanation are quite confusing, they just say the CAT5e is the upgrade version of CAT5

what is the correct way to keep an old processor... before selling it or just to keep it...
*
wrap in a newspaper, or put the processor back into the box, keep away from contact with water.

QUOTE(12629 @ Jun 12 2008, 10:35 PM)
hey why do i see some comps with 2 screen connected to it? like one bottom and one top there may i know?
and wats the best internet which doesnt have lag(something like cyber cafe interner)but for home use only ??
*
for the 2 screen, it's generally called as dual screen/dual monitor, u just need to plug in another monitor to ur graphic card there then adjust some settings inside the window (some might auto config), well, this is just the basic explanation....

for more details, first u need to identify wat's ur graphic card and does it support dual screen (many graphic card support), normally for those new graphic card will have 2 output slot and a S-video, that 2 output slot is either analog or DVI or both DVI or both analog, use a suitable converter if necessary then connect the display cable to your monitor and graphic card.... thumbup.gif

u can either use 2 graphic card with SLI disable or using 1 grpahic card.

for the internet, i dont think u can get those connection as smooth as what you can get in cyber cafe, i dont think they're using streamyx, they either use T1 or T2 connection or more than 1 streamyx fixed line.

theoretically, the best internet connection is using fixed line connection, because fixed line connection have less inteference and transmit the data at higher speed, but it does have it's downside too, wireless have it's pros and cons either, so choose wisely.

just like that? i mean, the mobo will auto detect it? no need to change any setting in bios?
*
should be able, i dont know about SATA, but if IDE HDD then sometime both HDD will conflict and detect either one only.

so if i installed another 512mb, does that mean I will have 1gb memory?

another thing, how would i know if my SLI is enable once i plug in the GC? will my motherboard auto detect? do i have to manually enable it?
*
i dont think the motherboard will auto detect it, u can enable and disable the SLI at the nvidia control panel there.
