I read your calculation like this and I am very sure you failed your maths.

If I applied your maths to UK FD, say 2% per annum and their currency rate is 1:5, then their return would be 2%*5% =10%

U better put in US FD 3.2%..


Then 3.2%*4=12% effective interest...so nice.
