i am a bit lost on what's the ideal price to pay after discount in the lenovo website...

on top of shopback, there are many hidden coupon codes it seems...

thinking of buying something that's ready to ship within 1 week

getting Intel 10th gen is good enough right? no need to go for 11th gen right
*
Better go for ryzen 4000 or intel 11th gen because the price is not much different from previous generation on the site and you get more performance.

As for the codes, just try each one, and use the one that give you the lowest price. (as for shopback i don't really use it so i'm not so sure if the the codes are sensitive to it, you'll have to ask other people's feedback on this).

I was looking at this model just few days ago and took a screenshot, here's the code I use that day. If you can get in this price range it's quite worth it.

> Metal built
> Long warranty
> Discreet GPU
> Good screen
> Top specs
> Free MS office for life

But if you're willing to spend over RM4000, might as well go for the flex 5i:

> Convertible to tablet with Pen support
> UHD 4K screen

isit a real IPS screen? 45%ntsc only 😗
*
don't really und your question. yes it is real ips but 45% vs 72% ntsc just means one will look washed out while the other has better colour accuracy.

because i saw msi modern 14 with similar specs as the Lenovo one, i worry its a "tn" instead of ips. im suffering from poor viewing angles from my current laptop, so im surveying a new one.

i'm not too sure about msi, but i remember a while back lenovo used to use the term WVA (wide viewing angle) to denote IPS-like display, this was because LG had the trademark for IPS iirc

Price has gone up bcos of upgraded processor from 5600h to 5800h. So no more ryzen 5 5600h if u order now. And yes you can now configure your gpu to rtx 3070.

im not sure if it is the price has gone up, or they nerfed the coupon.

but definitely the final price has gone up

the highest spec was 6.2k, but now it is 6.3k

im not sure if there is a coupon to get lower than that.
*
QUOTE(Aimer247 @ Jul 23 2021, 11:05 AM)
Yeah, agree with what you say. I think the coupons has been nerfed.

Seems like cant get 10% discount now hence the higher final price.

Any new and better coupons?
*
QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jul 23 2021, 11:13 AM)
Definitely coupon nerfed already. I ordered yesterday 6.3k (updated warranty to onsite), now can't get that price di.
*
QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jul 23 2021, 05:14 PM)
No, I've been checking price for more than a week before pulling trigger yesterday. The reason 6.3k not 6.2k is I updated warranty. Without that would be 6.2k.

Pay now, before price goes up

For those with Realtek RTL8852AE who facing slow internet and dc, can disable the Microsoft WiFi Direct Virtual Adapter. The downside is losing the ability to cast, wifi share and hotspot.
*
you can also try finding the latest drivers for that realtek online, download it, unzip it, then go to device manager and manually installing them.

sometimes windows doesn't have the latest available drivers in their database.
