If you're only going to use it for those purposes, I would suggest you get the ThinkBook instead of the IdeaPad Gaming
Some ThinkBook can still fit your RM3K budget
ThinkBook has many options to choose from. Which one should I start with?
I randomly played around and got this:
ThinkBook 14 Gen 2 (RM2,723.85 - after eCoupon FRONTLINER)

Look at Yoga7 which been posted numerous times before. Keyword is to use “FRONTLINER” code upon checkout. Though the waiting time can be quite long.
Ryzen 4600u ultrabook with 16GB RAM, genuine office H&S and proper 300nits display for under RM3k. I don’t think you can find anything better already.
Alternatively, if you don’t mind the sucky display on Ideapad Gaming 3 I listed above, that’s currently the best value laptop Lenovo is offering.
All in all, it backs down to whether you prefer gaming laptop (better performance, bulkier and suckier display) or ultrabook (better mobility, better display, can charge with USB PD powerbank).
Which Yoga7? Something like this?
Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14ARH5 (RM3,244.85 after eCoupon:FRONTLINER)

========================
In short with a 3k+ budget, I should avoid IdeaPad and go for Yoga or ThinkBook. Is that right?
I'm currently using ThinkPad X1 Yoga as my company laptop. This new purchase is for my Primary 1 kid + wife use.
