I've order a laptop, Thinkpad T14, from lenovo on 20th Oct, not yet delivered, eta 7th Dec. Just notice that it is cheaper around RM200 now, same configuration. I've emailed the customer service and hope they can revise the price of my order, but so far no reply yet.
Have anyone experience this before?

TLDR

- Bought a lenovo laptop on its website on 9 October 2020.
- Stated delivery within 8 weeks at time of purchase
- Lenovo lied, and shipping date is end January 2021 (4 months after)
- Cancelled order, and request refund on 26 October 2020
- Lenovo has't refunded in 2 weeks, calls and emails lenovo
- Lenovo ignored, and just say wait, we check our system
- Send an email to bank, cc BNM, OFS, KPDNHEP
- Bank refunded in 2 days.  cool2.gif
IMO not many of us know that with credit cards, there's a greater amount of consumer protection in case of unfortunate incidents where we need to dispute transaction with merchants. As we can use intermediaries (banks, card issuers (mastercard/visa/amex), BNM, OFS, KPNDHEP) to ensure that our rights as consumers are well-protected.

In my case, Lenovo sucks balls to the max. At the time of my purchase, its website shows that the item will be shipped within 8 weeks. I made my order, paid, and wait. One week after that, lenovo portal shows my laptop is shipping in November, a few days later, it changed to December, and a few days after that, changed again to late January 2021.

I am well-aware that AMD Ryzen CPU now has a worldwide shortage, but is it so difficult for Lenovo to estimate their shipping date? If it ships in 4 months, just write 4 months la, don't la lie to people and say it ships in 8 weeks.

My experience with refund with other companies, are normally quite quick, ie less than a week. After 2 weeks of not getting refund, this thing is starting to get on my nerves.

Wrote a long email, and copied to BNM (bnmtelelink@bnm.gov.my), OFS (enquiry@ofs.org.my), and KPDNHEP (eaduan@kpdnhep.hep.gov.my) on 7 November (Saturday)

BNM replied that they noted, OFS called and tell me to call them within a week, if there's no development from HSBC.

HSBC immediately replied within 1 working day (9 November) and say will investigate and get back to me within a week.

HSBC refunded me on 10 November  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

Did lenovo charge you full amount? Mine one only charged rm1 for verification, and full amount when the order is shipped.
But i agree that the experience of their online ordering is very bad. I called to complain about my purchase, that still in waiting to ship, is cheaper now. The customer service ended up offering me a partial refund, but subject to approval from their management. confused.gif
And this morning i checked the shipping schedule again, ETA from 30 Nov become 26 Dec mad.gif
so next week have to call them again ranting.gif

how much did you pay for this?

Around RM 3,400. But I complained to them after found that on 11.11 the price was lower, and they will arrange for 7% refund once I get the unit.

i think they have changed the options for customisation now, back then i only got 250nits or 300nits touchscreen display. Now is this 400nits with the wwan bundle. Ya for me the wwan is kinda useless now as we can use mobile phone for tethering, but i think that 400nits, which is recommended by many ppl, is much better than 250nits.
