Hi sifus!

Looking at the IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro (AMD) @ RM3,429:

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600U Processor
8 GB DDR4 3200MHz
512 GB M.2 2242 SSD
14.0'' 2.2K (2240 x 1400), IPS, up to 60 Hz, 100% sRGB, and 300 nits
Integrated Graphics

Is it a good purchase for its specs? Or i5 version at RM110 extra is better?

Mainly using as entertainment device, occasional Office apps, web browsing etc. Not a gamer. smile.gif

Is there any promo code available?

and regarding the CC payment , lenovo replied me about the CC keep charge by bank as below , i kenak charge 3 times.

When the order is placed Lenovo requests an authorization for the product amount. The amount will be claimed only when the product is shipped out to the customer. The authorization is valid for 7 days and if the product is not shipped by then , the authorization fails and the amount will be released back.

Bank policies vary from bank to bank  and therefore depending on the bank your account is in, your bank might hold the funds for 7 to 14 days.  Please check with your bank if your amount is not released yet.

If it is not released and they require any official statement from Lenovo to release the money back to you at the earliest, please let us know the name of your bank and we will draft a letter addressing your bank which you can email them to release the money.

If the authorization fails, then a fresh authorization is taken, to claim the amount when the order is shipped out.

Damn, this is a headache. rclxub.gif Makes me inclined to pay via bank transfer instead when I make my purchase later - should be a smoother process!

So it seems my order wasn't cancelled fully lol, only partially. In the end, decided to keep my order and learn to be patient.

No bro, nothing offered when I submitted my cancellation via website's chat function. Their payments team emailed few days later to directly ask for bank details to process refund. I asked if it's possible to cancel my cancellation (lol) then they said it's partially cancelled so can still retain the order.

I did get 5% refund offer when I complained to mycs@lenovo.com why it's much longer than 8 weeks. Something better than nothing tongue.gif

Wow, that's a long wait. Your order was placed less than 2 weeks after mine but expected to arrive more than a month after mine. Hopefully it's just a worse case scenario.

I think Lenovo is the best bang-for-buck brand in the market for specs offered. Tough decision to cancel and fork out more for another brand. sweat.gif

No bro, didn't receive that notification. Here's my activity:

1. I requested cancellation via website chat
2. Payment team emailed me asking for my bank details to process refund (I paid via bank transfer)
3. I asked if it's possible to keep my order - they said yes, only partially cancelled and they can reinstate my order. Communication was direct email convo with Payment team member.
4. Received email confirming my order is reinstated

Hope you manage to sort it out bro.

My Fn + Q hotkeys do not work. Any solutions? Also the battery on my Ideapad 5 Pro dies off really quick. Any tips?
