Okay they just push back the shipment date , should I email them and opted a refund?
It listed 6-8 weeks delivery , but this is more than 2 months..

Sometimes the ETA will run off mainly because of Part Shortage, can be anything from the CPU to the LCD panel. Hence why there is a long ETA. As the parts arrive to complete assembly, it will re-adjust the ETA accordingly as the system auto-updates itself.

Yes bro correct, however once the order is submitted to the Plant for manufacture (also, yours is a Customized-To-Order (CTO) machine), they will need to also finalize and gather the required components to assemble it. At that stage, if one or more parts is not available, and if there is a supplier shortage (for example, Intel or AMD CPU or specific LCD Panel is not available), then the ETA will be pushed further back. Once it gets closer to the parts becoming available, the system will readjust the ETA and you'll get your laptop shipped from one of the plants in China, and eventually delivered to you via courier. With the current state of PC and laptop component stock shortages, this kind of delay is very unfortunate but to be expected.

Lenovo asked me to cancel my order for the 8 units of ThinkBook 14 because they could not even confirm they could ship the laptops on the revised delivery date of 14 February 2021
What the fuck

Sometimes waiting for reply from the Manufacturing Plant team in China takes very long, if there is part shortage then they cannot assemble the laptop in time. Currently there is a part shortage for both AMD and Intel CPUs as well as almost every other electronic component used in laptops and desktops.

One of the downsides of having the manufacturing all done in China and the E-Commerce Team here located here in SEA region...
