I got my new Honda City 2019 V-spec. Been driving around 3 months and recently feels very regret why I never consider Proton x70 SUV. I thinking paying extra 20k upgrade from city to x70 (Executive 2WD) at least I can get the latest model of car and much much better spec in overall.

Any opinioin or suggestion if I really plan to upgrade my car to x70, how much will I rugi if I really sell my new car ?

I wondering is outside there really have anybody doing like this to sell their new car with just few months age?

Btw, I did not mean to say that honda city is not good, I just personally feel that I could get much more better spec by paying abit extra.

20k is not " paying abit extra ". 20k is another good 2nd hand car.

20k is not much difference after dividing it into monthly installment for 7 years. Go ahead if you really want X70. Then again, X70 is still new and has not proven itself to be reliable car. Honda City on the other hand has proven track record of it's reliability. There is also the after sales service that you need to consider. Honda's vs Proton's service. Like comparing sky and sea. Don't get all hyped up by the reviews. Most of them are paid reviews because in Malaysia you cannot make a living being an honest reviewer.

Having said that, on specs and hearing from streets, the X70 does is a very nice car. If you do not mind the "loss" of selling your old new car then go for it.

20k is not a little extra man. i tell you what, topup abit get Porsche Macan S maybe?

but on a serious note, i just got myself the V Spec City as well. never regret getting it. it feels quite premium and does the job for me already for a family of 3. if i were you i'd probably consider going for the CX-5 hehe

X70 being an SUV, will have much higher FC, maintenance cost, spare part cost, etc. Not only the 20k extra, Are you ready for this?

Anyway why are you comparing B-segment sedan with C-segment SUV? Do you need a bigger car? Or just for the "feel good" feeling?

Is proton service really that bad? Yes indeed I've heard both good and bad Honda services, for instance the honda tak guna incident many years back and my friends recent services with Honda which is an overall good one.
For Proton, I've not seen many complains on their services, only the quality

The moment you drive your new City out from the showroom, it has already depreciate 10%-15% at least. Just keep

Why not wait for the new B segment SUV X50 to be launched by Proton.

LOL. expect to lost around 20k first from your 3 month old v-spec honday city

then add another 20k for your x70

so all in, an extra 40k

expensive lesson to learn

actually what is that "much better spec" are you looking at if you are going for the x70 executive version compared to v spec city? the gkui, electronic parking brake, interior air cleaner, dual zone a/c ... ? these stuff are nice to have but you can live without

Reverse the roles, City passenger will suffer serious head injuries from the side impact. Side airbag only works up to a certain impact speed.
