ronaldinho magic all day. Riquelme is ok but ronaldinho magic is out of this world. Even santiago bernabeu gave him a standing ovation for destroying real madrid

QUOTE(boca120879 @ Feb 3 2021, 02:16 PM) I followed football since 1990. I watched all wc games from 1990 live. I cover nearly every club activity in the 90s (even d4 teams) because I was mad about it back then. I even remember the sequence of penalty shootouts of important games. Those hardly qualify as to one's credibility to judge talent. But I'm a fan. And I watched a lot of riquelme and am also a fan of his. But we have to be honest with our evaluations. Nobody benches greats, or leave them at home during important tournaments. |

After they did some analysis, video observations, interviews, statistics ..... What did you do? Just based your own memory. Right? This post has been edited by boca120879: Feb 3 2021, 10:27 PM |

QUOTE(herrkolisch @ Feb 3 2021, 02:34 PM) When I saw that this thread measures greatness by how many nutmegs a player has made on YouTube, I cannot take it seriously. There are many articles, voting system, football analysist to be read here.If you are lazy to do, why bother to comment here? This post has been edited by boca120879: Feb 3 2021, 02:40 PM |

QUOTE(boca120879 @ Feb 3 2021, 02:36 PM) There are many articles, voting system, footballer analysist to be read here. What difference does it make after reading all about him the past 20 years? So this thread usurps them all? I get it that you're a great fan of his. I have been rooting for him too and disappointed maradona didn't call him up. Just the fact that he wasn't considered to even be top 10 in his generation. Maradona was easily number 1 in his time. Messi, 1 or 2, depending on Cr's period/time of the month. Riquelme never had that sort of standing. I don't doubt how good riquelme is. But just because I listed what I considered to be all-time greats, and he didn't make it, I have to be re-educated to improve my understanding of football of the last 30 years (I just wish I was old enough to understand football to watch 1986 else I could say nearly 40 years of watching and reading) by watching videos of player do nutmegs? If you are lazy to do, why bother to comment here? |
