Hi mummies,

I'm a first-time mum. Does anyone out there have recent deliver baby at UMMC (University Malaya Medical Center) like 2018 or 2019? Its the PJ general University hospital.

I am looking at that option to transfer from Assunta to here because I heard it's much cheaper as I'm not working at the moment. Would like to find out more from experience mummies on the quality of the equipment and service (doctors & nurses) as I heard some horror story and a bit concern now.

Thanks in advance! sweat.gif

Hi Winnie,

there is a similar post about delivery in UMMC, it aka PPUM the semi government hospital.

I have delivered my baby back in 2017 Jan. From my experience, the hospital room is cleaned (4 sharing in a room) as the building was quite new. You unable to choose ur favourite dc as the dc work in shift. Nurses are helpful and friendly. You need to make ur booking at the 7th month of pregnancy with RM500 deposit. More information to follow at the link below:-

Thanks a lot for your respond. Feeling a bit lost as this is my first time and i'm aiming for the government hospital now just need to hear some feedback for those that have experience of giving birth there.
