no that is not true. in order for DDR3 to b affordable, the manufacturers have to ramp up the production, and this will not happen this year, or even this year end. u will b seeing DDR3 selling below the price of DDR2 once AMD release its processor with DDR3 memory controller, and that is around next year H2. so, u will b getting cheap DDR3 by 2009 Q1

that wont be lar. u dun get it are u? prices of a product will go down, when manufacturer are making more of that products. if a product is high in demand and its availability is low, then that price will increase.

plz post more useful post plz. DDR3 faster than DD2, doesnt mean it perform faster than DDR2. the current DDR3 perform on par with DDR2, although is is faster.

AMD confirm using DDR2 lar. only AM3 will support DDR3, and it will only come out next year end with 45nm tech as well.

eh, i rather buy non-pc fair ler. the reason?

1st, too much ppl hard to breathe, which also means u hard to negotiate price.
2nd, too much ppl, the booth sales ppl wont mind if u dun buy, which also means u cant negotiate price liao
3rd, the price for these internal hardware wont different much from normal shop.
4th, if u wanna buy now, just buy now, dun wait anymore, u wont know what price will it be next few weeks.

*i can see that DDR800 is dropping alot (price lar) while DDR667 is rising, which conclude that in 2-3 months time, manufacturer will produce more DDR800 than DDR667, and this mean u will get cheaper DDR800.

in lowyat also can get RM10-20 discount lar, depend on ur negotiation skill

nope, the price is not fixed. if a RM200 item, usually can discount RM10-15. i bought a MSI mobo last year, original is RM250, but get RM230. then i go to the other shop buy a Galaxy 7300GT DDR3, i get RM320 original RM350.

DDR 400 is no slouch compare to even DDR2 667 lar. and guess wat? the price drop liao (DDR400), can get as cheap as RM195 now

is 1X1G ler, Aeneon one, in lowyat. i saw ppl can overclock this babe to all the way 270MHz with 2.7V in the Aeneon overclocking thread. not bad lar, wanna get one liao.

kingston 1G DDR400 now cost RM200 , aeneon one will be cheaper

i saw the latest price list, DDR2 800 cost RM180 also, i rather get the 800 vers instead.

Coz DDR400 has lower latency than DDR2. and also, AMD64 is clearly ahead of pentium D in all aspects.


*btw, DDR400 is getting cheaper. bought one 1G kingston at RM195 . but wasnt happy of its overclocking performance although it uses the hynix dt43 chipset. can only go max to 235Mhz.

lowyat plaza lor. wat? rm300? that is an outdate price for lowyat. i get a RM190 offer from Prestige, but that guy is DAMN arrogant, dun wan to get from him, go to winchance and bought one at RM195. Winchance is my all time fav shop, their sales ppl are the most frenly.

i dun think it will be any where near cheap esp for DDR333, more over SODIMM. i think it should b around RM200?
