My personal issue with renting out Selangorku houses before the 5 year lock-in period is you're taking a slot away from another person who genuinely wants to purchase an affordable house to stay, while you're profiting/keeping up with your installments by renting.

I have been on the waiting list for 6 months and still no reply yet, some Selangorku projects have 300+ applicants on the waiting list, and to take that slot away from people who genuinely wants to own a house for ownstay purposes just feels not right to me.

My personal opinion is that if you wish to own a property for investment, please don't touch affordable housings. They are meant for people like us who have low income and cannot afford your normal open market projects. You can argue and say that some people rent it out also why can't I rent out also leh? Just because someone else can do something wrong does not mean you should as well.
