My brother got a RSKU few years back when his working experience was only 3 years as his first house. He wouldn't be able to purchase any House other than the affordable house with that range of salary. Upon VP, he didn't stay there as he is still single and the location is too far from his working place and the traffic is heavy. So at the end he rented the place out. His intention when he gets the house was, one day if he wants to get married, he can still stay in that house if he can't afford any house anymore.

My personal view, affordable house should be for those who really need it, at least at the point of buying the house. If sole intention is to invest, I don't think affordable house appreciation would be that much and also is a bit not fair for those who need to queue for so long to get it just because they can't afford other normal development.
