QUOTE(cassy88 @ Jul 13 2007, 07:22 PM) hie guys..love this site..cute hamster there..^^ honestly if you want your hamster to have a nice living environment, you should just spend RM20+ and buy it a tank. That'll solve all your problems. QUOTE(cool disel @ Jul 26 2007, 08:07 AM) hello hamster's lovers If you read the first page, you'll notice that most of us do no encourage having hamsters living together in a group. Especially winter whites, syrian and RC because they're solitary by nature. If they can't get along, separate them. No other choice.just i'm having a problem with my two winter white females hamster.. one of them keep bitting and fighting the other one, i thought that they may just fight for fun or something like female fight but not a cat fight.. and 2day i just noticed a little injury (alittle blood near to her behind) on one of them and i'm not really sure what to do so for the moment i isolated the bad girl in another cage.. so what should i do ? any way to make them accepting each other QUOTE(opy @ Jul 26 2007, 11:31 AM) YESH..LIKE LAST TIME MY HAMSTER FIGHT TOGETHER UNTIL ONE OF EM DIED..AND ALSO THE OTHER ONE DIED TOO...DUNNO Y BUT MAYBE BECOZ OF LONELINESS... nah.. they're solitary. |

QUOTE(BlueWind @ Jul 28 2007, 10:11 PM) Hey everybody, I'm thinking of keep hamster and have some question would like to ask. I saw among some of you all have 2 hamsters while the guide says that only one hamster for one cage. Also, when it comes to cleaning the tank or cage, can I like buy one some kind of ball or like car specially design for hamster and put it inside while cleaning the tank or cage? I mean like let it roam around the house then when the cage is cleaned then I put back in. It is okay to put 2 hamster together but really, not advisable at all because they might fight and kill each other before you even have the chance to separate them. Hamsters are solitary and they do not get lonely, so it's 100% okay to let them live alone and they'll still be happy if you give them enough space, food and care. You can choose to buy those kinda sphere to put your hamster in it. But what I do is put my hamster in a small box. Sometimes I would put it in a smaller tank and let it sand bath while I clean its cage. I'm using Habitrail mini... However, it's actually better if you buy a tank for your hamster. Tanks are safer as your hamster won't simply try to climb the bars up and down or injure itself in anyway. It's easier to clean as well compared to a tank. Save you loads of time.Ok, last one can anybody give me a must-buy list for starting a cage for a hamster? Thanks a lot! Cheers! |

Well for starters i personally recommend delikate snowy SAND BATH.. don't buy dust bath.. those are mostly for chinchillas. You can buy the small one first to try then move on the the bigger pack next time.

nobody is trying to make an issue here. We're just curious.. cause if his hamster is really hissing I wanna go take a video of it and make myself famous for that 'discovery'.
