Hi evryone and sifus!
I need some advice  I just got 2 dwarf hamsters last weekend. I was told they are WW but after much research and reading, I think one is hybrid and one is a possible WW Pearl. Out of stupidity, I got a pair, which I sorely regret because I don't want to breed them at all!!! Sigh. I am worried now but I don't want to part with them, they are the cutest thing ever!!!

But then, I read that WW Pearl cud be infertile and I know this sound like harsh but I really pray that it will be infertile for his own good (also for my own good). Or maybe both are females because I don't know how to see, but the seller said they are a pair. So here is a picture, can the sifu tell is he a WW Pearl? The other one is a definite hybrid right, Winter Gold? Or maybe both also hybrid?




I also love the syrian. Someone adviced me that I shud get a syrian instead of dwarfs. I never had any experience with hamsters  only helping out friends and admiring from far. But now that I got two of this baby, I can't wait to get home from work! Their temperament is great, no biting... maybe because they are still small. I also learning to tame them by touching them everyday... at least now they take treats for me and I hope that is a good sign.

I also just bought a nice house for them some Japanese brand. I wanted to buy Habitrail Mini but I thot this one is more spacious and bit cool, hehe.



I'm feeding them fresh fruits and Prestige Hamster Mix. For chewing I'm giving them dried alfafa. I'm using pine shaving, hmmm don't remember the brand but it's sold evrywhere. They seemed to like it and bury themselves inside it when they sleep until I was really worried last night cos I thot they got out, haha.

Advices are very much appreciated!

Just got my bear girl from foo ... thanks foo ... the girl really 'large' ... the biggest i seen so far ... n the coat ... omg ... so nice ... fu yoh ... foo really know how to take care lah .... btw, does that mean i can have a hammy sig now?

just wondering ... what other toys i can get for the syrian so she can play with when i take her out from tank n put on bed/floor? the tank seem too small to put too much toys inside lor.

yeap... he is tamed since birth... never bitten anyone before despite being handle by many people... i used to bite his belly too, but well of coz he will struggle a little.....

hi.. umm.. i'm new to this forum xD
anyways.. my sister bought this winter white hamster few days ago and the hamster is really adorable and all..
she gets used to us within a day.. which is very good..

since she's alone, my sister figured she would get her another play mate..
and voila.. she came back with one! (both are female, she dont want to breed them yet since she's new to these)
now, here's the problem. The older hamster(shaddow aka dowdow) is really friendly that she goes climbing over the new hamster(gigi) and sniffing and cuddling around her. BUT gigi is afraid of dowdow! the moment dowdow goes near, gigi will shriek and play dead with one piece of shit dropping out of her anus >.<

what do i do? is gigi not used to the environment or there's a problem with her? we've been handling her for a whole day(except the times when she was sleeping) and she still acts so distant enlighten me please

Anyone knows what is wrong? Jack Jack is like sneezing or coughing... You can see and hear in the video I've recorded... Turn  up the volume...

Is this normal? He's been trying to climb out of the tank. A bit dangerous since he been climbing the buildings inside the tank to reach higher... Please advice         Jack Jack really restless... So sad to see him like that now... See the 2nd video...

just got a 7" ball for my bear girl ... now i let her run around the house except kitchen .. haha ... one advice for those of u who want get the ball too, dont let your hammy play on your bed. It will grab your bedsheet from the holes n chew. i didnt know so now my bedsheet got one hole ... haha ...

my bear girl also become very good at climbing up the wheel now. now she can balance herself well n sit on top of the wheel chewing the tank cover .... dont know when she will chew a hole n escape someday not ...

next am thinking of buying tunnels for her to run around ... but so far no idea how yet ... must think must think

I'm thinking of making a platform for Jack Jack in the tank for a upper deck. Anyone made one before? Need some ideas... And what can be use and safe for hamsters.
